Great for many ages
We gifted this to my nephews and 5-13 and it was a hit! It’s super easy to use and great for all ages—even the teen got hooked on it. It kept the kids entertained for hours and actually got them excited about being outside (their parents were thrilled). They loved capturing close-ups of bugs, fungus, underground nests, and holes in trees. I loved seeing their curiosity being sparked. We didn't try it under water yet, but they have shoved it under the snow for some scientific discovery. Bonus: they discovered it also works as a kind of spy cam, which led to some hilarious “top secret” sibling adventures. The quality is surprisingly good. It doesn't feel like a kid toy. I also appreciate that it doesn't take pictures. It keeps the kids grounded in the present. It's all about the discovery and nature- not the tech. Highly recommend!

Cool toy for a small child
Bought this for my grandson for Christmas. He absolutely loves it. He was able to look in a hole up inside a tree. It’s pretty cool.

Very cool science tool
My 7 year old son absolutely loves this product (so do I!). We take it outside on hikes and walks, and he’s able to see a view of nature that he otherwise never would have. It increases his curiosity in nature and increases his buy in on hikes.

Good value for the money!
Great little scope for kids to explore areas. really does work under water and magnifies bugs, items and whatever else you can find to look at up close.

Great Value!!! Hours of Fun and Learning!
We got the Little Experimenter Snake Scope Camera for our 6-year-old, and it’s been a fantastic purchase! For the price, it delivers so much. The flexible tube and LED light make exploring fun and easy, and the waterproof feature has been great for checking out ponds and streams during family outings. Our child loves using it to look into tiny spaces like cracks in trees or under rocks, and it’s really opened up their curiosity about nature. Even at home, we’ve used it to peek into tight spots just for fun. It’s surprisingly sturdy for the price and has held up to quite a bit of kid-level handling. As parents, we love that it’s educational without feeling like “schoolwork.” Plus, it’s a STEM toy that doesn’t break the bank. For under $30, this has been one of the most engaging and worthwhile toys we’ve bought. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for an affordable gift that’s fun, educational, and practical. Definitely money well spent!

First one didn't work; was replaced; second one quit FAST
The first one was DOA. I contacted the seller directly. They provided a shipping label, but it was for Media Mail, and the PO clerk would not accept it, as it was clearly not qualified for that service (the box rattled!). A second label was soon provided for USPS Ground Advantage. After confirming the replacement toy seemed to be working, I sent it to a child living in another state. The mom reported it worked for a few minutes then stopped displaying anything. They got a refund. Definitely not worth the hassle.
