I will start by saying that this is a solidly built post. The build quality is actually better than I was expecting. Mechanically it's very simple, probably reliable, and I really don't think it will break. However, (and this is a big one) before you consider adding this particular post to your noble mountain steed, you have to ask yourself one simple question; How do feel about the current condition of my taint? If you like it the way it is, this might not be the upgrade for you. There is a very heavy rate spring in this thing that returns the post to the extended position at an alarming speed, and with more than adequate force to completely pulverize your nether-regions. On the plus side, shipping took FOREVER, (I realize it's not prime eligible, but it took almost a week for the seller to actually give it to the post office... Who then proceeded to misplace it or forget about it for almost a week) which means, after your order is placed, your bits and pieces will be safe for at least a few days before you have the opportunity to smash them into an indiscernible pulp with your bike saddle. Also, they include -almost- everything you need to install this merciless bathing suit area killing machine. There was no hardware to attach the remote lever to your handlebars, and the cable was already adjusted to way-too-long-to-fit-any-bike length. Not a big deal, but you would need to get a new barrel end if you wanted to cut down the cable and sheath to fit.So if you're looking for a product that can efficiently demolish your genitals, and you aren't in a big hurry to do so, this will certainly fit the bill. But if you want a dropper for your bike that wasn't sourced from the torture chamber of medieval castle's dungeon, you may want to keep shopping.
