Tools does you ask it for: installs rivets. Cavet: if you don't lube the threads, expect to break the mandrel. I broke the M3 mandrel on the first rivet I tried to install. I re-read the manual which says to lube the mandrel threads. The second rivet installed fine. (I can't drop a star because I didn't read the manual...) One benefit is that they sell replacement mandrels on Amazon. I initially bought a different nut rivet tool and broke the mandrel on the 30th rivet. That company didn't sell replacement mandrels on Amazon and none of the aftermarket mandrels on Amazon fit. That other company was responsive however and said they would send me a link to buy mandrels after the current Chinese holiday -which lasts 2-3 weeks. I bought this tool as I simply wasn't going to wait 2+ weeks. This tool works, is much easier to use, and takes up less space to store and to use.

Excellent quality tool. Have had zero failures installing riv nuts with this tool. I took the time to lube the bearing, since it is not a sealed bearing and lube the mandrel before each use. Works perfect for sheet metal applications. Definitely recommend this product, but one needs to remember to lube the mandrel before each use. I needed this item for some tight spaces and it worked well. I personally chose to use Lucas assembly lube it is thicker than most other oils. Overall, I think this is a great product, as long as it is properly lubricated I think it will last a very long time. Also came with a very nice case for storage, and a good supply of riv nets !! Can't go wrong with purchasing this tool ! Just remember, lube lube lube ! Do not use this tool without proper lubricant!

PERFORMS WITH RESULTS EQUAL TO THE MUCH LARGER LEVER TYPE TOOLS BUT IS HANDY FOR GETTING INTO MUCH TIGHTER CONDITIONS. MADE OF HIGH QUALITY METAL AND THE MULTI APPLICATION OF THIS TOOL IS REALLY GREAT. THE MULTIPLE METHODS OF COMPLETING NUT INSTALLATION REALLY HAS COME IN HANDY FOR ME AND MUCH APPRECIATED FOR SURE

The threads on the M5 mandrel flattened after a few uses. Then it starts binding with the nuts and twisting them instead of compressing. The M8 mandrel worked fine.

*Revised* I previously gave this tool a very bad review as on the second 10-32 nut I went to set, the mandrel stripped instead. That said, the seller went above and beyond to try to make thing right. They are sending me a new 10-32 mandrel and are looking into the possibility of making their fine pitch thread mandrel out of a tougher steel. Big kudos to them! I the mean time this is a simple to use tool and will likely work fine for most applications. I suggest using it with either a hand driver or a drill driver set to light torque so you have an idea how much stress is being applied.

It's okay-ish, but FUSSY! It jammed up so I couldn't change the size of the Riv Nut and contacted the company twice, but never heard back. I was eventually able to UN-jam it, but it doesn't get the riv-nuts super tight, they're a little sloppy, but probably sufficient enough to hold everything up.

This tool seems to do the job just fine. I have only used it with M6 size, stainless steel rivnuts so far, but it worked great on those. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is that the driver bit and the screw that pulls the rivet tight are not captured in the tool. Not a big deal, but you do have to be a little careful between pulling rivets to ensure the screw doesn't fall out.

Great tool for what it cost. Very easy to use and effectively installed rivets.
