This isn't my first bathmat made from Diatomaceous earth, but it is a few cuts above previous versions I have tried. First, it is a solid piece that feels like something between a piece of wood and a piece of stone - no flexibility. I also arrived FLAT rather than rolled up, which I appreciated since the rolled-up one never seemed to unroll - leaving bends or edges that curled up in an unsightly and unsafe manner.Packaging is FIRST-RATE and very protective. An inflatable wrap of air pockets surrounded the mat and made sure no shipping damage happened. It look a little work to cut off the mat, but accomplished its goal.Setup - the words Blue & Loom face down towards the floor and are laid on top of a precut piece of non-slip carpeting mat you put down where you want to mat to be used. Once the mat is on that piece, it won't go anywhere - even if you stand on it and try dancing the twist. Considering this is a bathmat for next to may shower door, stability is essential and this mat provides that. I'd suggest wiping it down when it first arrives, as mine had some light rock dust on it.Function - step out of your shower with wet feet and you'll leave footprints on this mat - but they will vanish in under a minute as it quickly air-dries. The surface isn't slippery at all - providing better safety than a carpet mat while also looking great. And if you use a robot vacuum in your bathroom like I do, you'll find it zips over this low-profile mat with ease. It is never soggy!Care - the surface is easy to clean with a cloth, and difficult to stain, and you can use included sandpaper to refresh the surface periodically.This mat has a cool, minimalist look that compliments stone or tile floors and looks great while providing a solid and clean surface to stand on while you dry off. Nothing but praises here - I've already ordered a second one for my guest bathroom beside a clawfoot tub. Highest recommendation possible!

Assigned from being small it's just not that amazing. It gets wet it dries if something gets on it you're supposed to sand it off. That sounds a lot like a floor. I was expecting more because they make it sound like it's the second coming of stepping out of the shower. It isn't big. It is sturdy and other than that. It's a rockhard bathmat.

I have always used cotton material mats like most people. I have seen commercials and ads for these stone mats, but never actually tried them, until now! Wish I would have made the decision sooner! This is way better than any mat I have used before. Provides a sturdy and solid stepping area when you step out the shower and literally absorbs every drop of water! It dries up within seconds and the best part is there is no wet/mildew smell!! It feels very solid and made of quality material. The only thing I would have liked is color options, but the grey isn't bad.

This is not an ordinary shower mat. It is hard and solid. It does absorb all the water that gets in it rather quickly and works great for that. The size could be a little bigger like a standard mat but overall it absorbs water and you don’t have to worry about it looking dingy after a while.

This thing is pretty neat. It absorbs water almost magically and is very slip resistant. Would definitely buy again!

This is a nice quality product, however, I took off a star because of its small size. It's a bummer because it works great and water just disappears into it, but if you're someone with larger feet (men's 12-13) you'll have to take care to stay within the mat's area.
