Texecom Premier Odyssey 3E 109db External Sounder

A grade 2 wired alarm bell box. A suitable replacement for a Honeywell Accenta G4 alarm system. Needs 5 core alarm cable. Installation instructions are not included but can be downloaded on-line.

The back plate of the old alarm box I took down was galvanised steel, there were only 5 holes, four for screws and a cable entry, these were easy to seal. This new unit the back plate is flimsy plastic with loads and loads of holes. If you putting it on a perfectly flat wall fine, but if you putting it on mildly uneven brickwork the backplate will bend and no doubt damp will get in through the many many holes.

I always use this external sound when installing alarms. Unfortunately I was sent the wrong unit so sent it back and bought one elsewhere which was cheaper.

I have fitted 5 of these now and other Texecom items they are good quality products and work well.
