I’ve been looking for a heating pad that holds a constant heat and has a high temperature. This pad holds a temperature, which is good. The instruction manual states this heating pad will get up to 151 degrees to 159 degrees. The most I could get out of it was 105.4 degrees. That’s just a tad over my normal body temperature. It did not relieve my headache as a hot shower does. I was hoping this was the answer and it’s not!

Infrared heating pads were suggested to me for the pain of arthritis. I bought this because it was more expensive than standard heating pads but not as expensive as the ones with embedded stones. First time I used it I was so amazed at the penetration of heat to my sore muscles. I fell asleep on it at about P3; if I did that with a standard heating pad it would have burned me or at least woken me up because it was too hot. So soothing and I actually felt so much better the next morning I couldn't beileve it! I'll never buy a standard heating pad again. I will update as I have read a few too many reviews that says it doesn't heat as well after a few uses, but so far I love this thing!

I ordered this infrared heating pad for myself as I have multiple chronic health conditions to where I’ve found an infrared heating pad is far more helpful than the regular ones. After one week of having my new infrared heating pad, the controller displayed “E6” and stopped working all together. I looked up the manufacturer’s (UTK) contact information and sent them an email directly, telling them exactly what was going on. To my surprise, they emailed me back right away (provided the time zone difference) stating they believed it was the controller and suggested they try sending out a new controller to solve the issue. As soon as I received the new controller, I promptly hooked everything up but then while the controller started working, unfortunately the heating pad was not getting warm at all. Of course I was disappointed and just knew I must have gotten a ‘lemon’ or something, so I emailed them back again (the same email thread with the same, very kind contact) letting them know what was going on. Once again, they emailed me back very promptly, still as kind as could be, stating they would be shipping out a brand new heating pad right away. They gave me their word, followed through, even shipped it UPS Air, and a brand new one was on my doorstep right away! So I’m happy to report that this new one is working just fine, as it should, and I love it! Without hesitation, I would most certainly order more (and will be ordering more) of their products again because I know in the instance anything should go wrong, they will make it right. Just having a manufacturer that stands behind their product and works with you, is something that is sadly very rare these days but thankfully, still alive and well with UTK!

I suffer from chronic pain and migraines from a cluster of conditions (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, lupus, reynaud’s, mast cell activation disorder). Several of these also react to heat in adverse ways (lupus, mast cell activation, and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome). I use heat to manage my joint pain and muscle tightness and migraines. I have microwaveable heating packs, battery-powered heating packs. Heating blankets; heating pads, moist heat heating pads…. This is my best heating pad, and my only infrared heating pad. Knowing the difference the infrared heat makes now, I regret not buying one years ago. This heating pad radiates relief—laying my hand on the pad not only warms the skin touching it, but all the way through the joint and to the other side of my hand—truly incredible for my Reynaud’s. I can lay this on my abdomen and it gives soothing relief clear through my core. It does not overheat my skin in order to get these deeper benefits. A big win in my book! I also like the auto shut off. So glad I found this! I just put anther one in my shopping cart to take advantage of the black Friday deals. I’m also going to try the cordless infrared neck wrap. I’m sold!
