Inexpensive tool for those occasional need to quickly replace a tire. If you are performing tire changes on a regular basis, buy a machine. It works well, but it is not quick and can take a little muscle and weight to break the beads. No regrets, but I may use it once or twice a year and I do not have space nor the demand to justify a tire machine

This is a great upgrade for anyone who has the harbor freight tire changer! Just change 4 new tires on our van with this. Makes all the difference when trying not to damage the rims! Had to grind some corrosion off my tire changer to get the cone to fit. Easily mounted on the tire changer. The duck bill is strong plastic which I was concerned about but held up great! Easily fit in the tire and popped those tires of like nothing. The square tubing was design for the square end of the tire iron. Slides on and off the tire changer like it was designed for it. This is a must have for any home garage mechanic.

A MUST HAVE FOR A HARBOR FREIGHT TIRE CHANGER. turns the rim destroyer 4000 into an actual usable piece of equipment. The centering cone only works for aluminum rims and not steel but they still work with the stock clamp type . Duckhead isnt too flimsy and works for removing very tight sxs tires. Dont even try using the tire changer in its stock format before buying this, i have 5 years of professional tire changing experience and it took me about an hr just to get the first bead off. This thing can do it in 5 min.

Good fit on my harbor freight tier changer . Did the job just fine , use adequate lube and keep it alined with rim . Help me out on 16" rims

I bought this after watching YouTube reviews of a similar one, this one just happened to be a good price and arrived sooner than the competition. I've never used my portable tire changer from Hazard Fraught, but after watching videos on YT of how to use THAT, this device was reviewed over and over as the best upgrade, and they weren't wrong!! However, the HF bar doesn't exactly fit in the end of the square pipe to use it as leverage, but it wasn't really an issue. As far as THIS device is concerned, I personally like the handle style. It is spring loaded, so you pull out to readjust, which I find more convenient that the fixed style I saw on other models. It's simple to use: draw the duck bill bar in to the rim, once the height is set, you don't have to change it for multiple tires, just the in/out. The silver cone was too small for my 6 lug trailer tire centers, so having a bigger cone would have been better for my use. I just eye balled it and it was fine. Some of the other kits had the bigger cone, but not knowing that was an issue, I didn't pursue those options. I will probably buy one as an add on. All in all for my use, I removed 4 tires and installed 4 tires, and there was a learning curve, but it was easy! Also, LUBE LUBE LUBE your tires/rims and duck bill. I just used dawn and water, but that makes all the difference!

I finally used it to change 4 235/65R17 tires on my minivan. Used it with the Harbor Freight tire changer. Bought an aluminum cone on here separately, which is NEEDED. No problems with compatibility with those other tools. Worked as it should have, and the project was successful, but there were some build quality issues. It appears to be a good design, no mistakes, obviously aiming to do well at a low price point, and succeeding at that. Main specific problem was that the nut welded onto the cylindrical portion of the interface between square and round tubes was off-axis. Tilted by about 20 degrees from straight. Just wrong. It did hold, but I don't know how many more uses I will get out of this before it needs repair or replacement. There does not seem to be any warranty other than the Amazon 30-day thing; I bought this months in advance while I was gathering tools and waiting for the right time, so no warranty can help me now. Also, the paint is pretty weak / soft, and comes off very easily. So wherever a screw is tightened down, that paint will be gone. All that said, I cannot imagine doing this job without this or some similar tool.

I first tried using a manual tire changer without this kit in order to save money and I can emphatically say that this kit is worth every penny due to how helpful it is in changing tires, along with tire bead clamps. (using those is like having an extra set of hands) Changing tires manually is now literally a breeze. Highly recommended.

So far so good, I've change about 6 tires so far and this thing works, it won't damage your Aluminum wheels, I also got the tire changer from Harbor Freight.
