Perfect cube to get back into it
I finally decided to upgrade from my old, clunky basement cube to this RS3M V5, and honestly, the difference is night and day. I’m still pretty much a beginner, just learning my first few algorithms, but having something this smooth makes a huge difference in how much I actually want to practice. The magnets are a total game changer for me. They aren't too aggressive, but they definitely help the layers click into place so I’m not constantly overshooting my turns while I'm looking at my cheat sheet. It feels light in the hands and doesn't have that cheap, scratchy plastic sound that my last one had. If you're just starting out and don't want to spend a fortune on a professional flagship, this is a solid choice. It just works right out of the box without needing a bunch of fancy setup or lube. Definitely happy with this purchase.

It is fragile
It is ok but it is very fragile and one drop broke it i would still recommend it though

Excellent speed cube!
Really smooth action, very well built. Looks great and really good fun. Me and the kids have loved playing with it.

good speed cube like how smooth it is to use and nice that its adjustable
good rubiks / speed cube so far had a bit of fun with it.. the magnets click into place nice enough which I like and it feels fast but not flimsy in my hands when solving a cube. feels quite light compared to the old rubiks cube i used and it doesnt lock up the same and the colours are easy to tell apart. I like that it came with the little stand and the screwdriver but ive not fiddled with the tension much yet. I think the build of it feels strong enough that it will last a while and overall its been good fun trying to get better at solving, even though I still end up stuck most of the time.. reasonable value for a good quality speed cube

Smoooooth operation.
For not much more than a standard cube, this one is so much smoother to operate and feels far nicer to handle. The adjustable tension is a good feature and the colours are bold and obvious. It doesn't matter how fast I can turn it, I still can't solve the thing. I do enjoy trying though as it's much nicer to use and easier on the hands than a standard cube.

Ok, but plastic is cheap, real cheap
There is a saying about polishing something that ultimately, is still the original thing. That is the case here. Accessories, nice box, “magnet version” etc. where as the actual cube is light light light weight, not feeling good in the hand or when solving. It is just so so so light, it feels poor. At £13, I’d say it is overpriced by about £8. This is the kind of plastic tut that you find in those dodgy bazaar shops with knock off barbies and things. Really poor feel. Action on it was ok, but i was so distracted by how it felt, i couldnt use it regularly. The original feels much better in the hand. Noisy as hell (the original), but feels more heft to it.

This is an impressive speed cube that's a step up from the basic beginner's ones
Wow, this is a nice cube. If one gets hold of a beginner's speed cube, it's easy to assume that there's not much between them and a top-end model. But there can be quite the difference. This one sits somewhere in the middle - rather ideal as someone's second speed cube. Lots of features and great value for money. It's fast and smooth (even out of the box), and there's lots of little adjustments you can make to suit your own style. I got the magnetic version, which comes with a good screwdriver and a stand. It's easy to take apart and just as easy to put back together. With rounded edges and excellent corner-cutting, it's terrifically functional and just works really well. Obviously it's standard size and shape suitable for competition. Just a fantastic speed cube that would make an excellent gift for someone getting into cubing.

Precise, smooth, and very nicely made
This speed cube has a lovely weight and quality, and is perfect for fast solving. WIth adjustable tension and subtle magnetic locating, the cube offers great flexibility. The size and colouring are typical of Moyu cubes - and offer great contrast and feel in the hand. The surfaces are slightly glossier than I remember the previous versions, but this doesn't present any grip issues. The kit (with stand and adjuster tool) is quite neat, and the simple packaging is adequate. At just around £13 at the time of review, this is a great quality product that makes cube solving a real pleasure, far more usable than the original Rubik cubes that carry a similar price tag. Note: I do use silicone oil usually on all cubes, but used this one without - it's smooth and buttery to operate even without lubrication initially, so do give it a go!
