The perfect decaf Matcha
I honestly didn’t expect to like a decaf matcha this much, but this one surprised me. I’ve tried regular matcha before and I love the taste, but the caffeine can hit me way too hard, especially later in the day. That’s the main reason I wanted to try the Caff Off decaf matcha, and it actually solved that problem for me. What stood out first is that it still tastes like real matcha. It has that smooth, slightly earthy, umami flavor, and it doesn’t taste watered down or weird like I expected from something decaf. The texture is also really nice and creamy when you mix it, even when I just used a fork instead of a whisk. I also really like how it’s made. They use a water absorption process to remove the caffeine instead of chemicals, which makes me feel a lot better about drinking it regularly. And it still has things like L theanine and antioxidants, so it feels like I’m actually getting the benefits of matcha, just without the jittery feeling. The biggest win for me is that I can drink it at night. That’s something I could never do with regular matcha. This only has around 4 to 8 mg of caffeine, so it doesn’t mess with my sleep, but I still get that calm, focused feeling. If I had to be honest, if you’re someone who drinks matcha specifically for a strong caffeine boost, this probably isn’t going to replace that. But if you love matcha for the taste, the routine, or the calming effect and especially if you’re sensitive to caffeine, this is actually such a good option. Overall, I would keep using this. It feels like a really easy swap that lets me enjoy matcha whenever I want, not just in the morning.

Caff Off Decaf Matcha Tea
This is really tasty matcha tea. I was worried that it would not be very tasteful as it is caffeine free, but that is not the case. It is a little pricey, but still delicious. It makes a very smooth cup of hot Matcha tea latte.

Waste of money
Dont waste your money it's so tiny but it's described as bigger. The bag is literally so small you might get 2 cups out of it. So disappointing

High quality
This is high quality matcha with a mild sweet taste. You may not be able to taste much because it’s decaffeinated. I have even higher quality low-caffeine matcha I bought directly in Japan from Marukyu Koyamaen and that is better quality (in terms of the color) but I would say this caff off brand is the next best things for the US. I drink matcha through out the day (2-3g) to help with my ADHD because of l-theanine and EGCG content without the caffeine. The matcha makes me feel happy and productive without jitters or anxiety that caffeine gives. The only thing you have to watch out for is how it’s stored after opening and also consume it quickly within a month. I left the opened bag in my cupboard and the matcha spoiled. The powder turned from a nice spring green to a green yellow and the brew became bitter. Put your opened bag in the fridge! They sell two sizes and the larger size is more economical but if you cannot finish the bigger size within a month, it’s better to get the smaller size. Matcha spoils fast!

good but expensive
Good product but it's quite expensive - there's very little in the package.

Cheaper than the tea shop, but I wish I didn't have to spend this much to enjoy matcha.
If you're on this product page, you probably know what matcha is, and how expensive this is compared to normal matcha. So this review is to tell you that, at least to me, this tastes identical to normal matcha and the jitters are almost completely nonexistent. No extra steps, no off color, if you like matcha, you'll like this. If you don't, you won't. This is straight up just matcha with practically no caffeine. Five stars. But I can't really ignore the price in the review. On one hand, you can find normal matcha at $5/oz or less, so it's very hard for me to justify spending $19/oz on the same drink just because of a caffeine sensitivity. On the other hand, this is the cheapest decaf matcha on Amazon that I can find, and I'd guess this probably isn't cheap to make, so I don't know how low the price can realistically get while still being profitable. I decided to go with 5 stars anyway due to the product itself being basically perfect, and being the best price you can currently get, even if that price is still high. Worst case scenario, it's still way cheaper than the tea shop. **Math For Nerds:** My bag cost $19, and I drink mine iced with 1/2 cup of hot water, 2/3 cup of oat milk, a bunch of sugar to taste, and 1.5tsp of caff off matcha powder, roughly 3g. I'll get a max of ~10 drinks out of one of these. That works out to ~$1.90 per glass. The oat milk works out to ~$0.40 per glass. Giving a nuclear guesstimate of ~$0.10 per glass for the sugar (it's definitely not that much), and hot water as more or less free. This makes ~$2.40 for my drink. I spent about $8 for my matcha at the last shop I went to, and that wasn't even decaf. So if that's your alternative and you drink a lot of matcha, this powder is still way cheaper.

Caff off decaf matcha
Disappointing.

Meh
It’s ok for a decaf one, but I don’t think I’ll purchase it again, especially considering the price. The color is on the grey side comparing to my regular matcha which gives a poor quality/ old product vibe to me (I could be wrong). I find the texture to be a bit floury, even when I use my matcha whisk. Finally, I’m glad I had my ancient jar so I could transfer the product in a more convenient container.
