5 Phases Fully Assembled Hybrid Glass Baby Bottle, Green, 4 Ounce

it's a nice bottle. A glass insert to hold the actual milk with a plastic holder to protect (i'm assuming) from breakage.I brought only one for baby, just to try it out. Seems like a good idea at the time because,well,glass breaks. The rest of her bottles are glass Lifestyles brand and Dr Brown's natural flow bottles. The nipples on Lifestyles and Dr Brown's are interchangeable (pro). Anyway having glass bottles and being clumsy myself, I found that the above mentioned brand of glass bottles didn't break. Not saying that they won't break, (they might so be careful) just saying that one can make duo and just get glass bottles and call it a day.Especially if you going to have to pay a little over 13 dollars per bottle like 5 phases brand.Just know you don't need a plastic covering for any glass bottle.If you're that concerned about breakage then buy plastic bottles.If you're concerned about the safety of plastic (which I'm sure why you're even considering this) then just attempt to handle your glass bottles with care. It will be okay. As far as daycare excepting glass? Some will, some won' . For the ones that do not accept glass...this may not soothe them because there is still a glass breakage problem with the insert.Beyond all that,the baby was fine using it, she's not real fussy about nipple types though.The cap is a struggle to get off ( if you care about that sort of thing), but that's a good thing with leaks and all.if you don't center the top over the insert right then it will leak inside the bottle and not come out the nipple properly.You'll have liquid in that green part...it's mildly annoying.The design is cute.Buy it if you must, the pros just aren't worth it in my opinion.hope this review helped.

My wife and I are strong believers in minimizing the use of plastic when it concerns our son. I like the fact that the 5 Phases bottles use only glass and silicone. I found them when we started at a daycare that would not allow the use of glass baby bottles. I bought a 5 Phases bottle and took it to the daycare to get the directors approval to use them. I actually dropped the bottle on the tile floor in front of her and it did not break. She changed the rules to allow the use of 5 Phases bottles at the daycare. We are glad that we found and are completely satisfied.

Baby refused to drink from it. It was also really complicated for us to figure out how to put together. We ended up using the Dr. Brown's glass bottles.

Just received my order, thank you! I'm a new mom and my plan was to breastfeed. Unfortunately, after a couple of weeks I was unable to produce enough for my son. So when I started the transition to formula, I had no clue about buying bottles, except from other moms. I first tried Nuk bottles, but my son had a difficult time latching right and would usually spit up a lot from all the air. So I researched bottles myself and read about the best bottles on consumerreport.org. 5phases was number one on the list. After reading about the bottles, I ordered the 5oz starter kit, and we love them! So of course with him growing, I had to order the 8oz bottles! I love the idea of having a glass bottle, so there is no chance of BPA. And the plastic sleeve fits comfortably in my hand. My son has no problems latching to the nipple and they don't cause him to spit up. I also love the convenience of the plug. That way we can store any left over formula in the fridge or carry them in the diaper bag without the fear of leakage.Again, we just love these bottles! Even though I was unable to provide him with the best by breast feeding, I'm happy that I can have the best bottle for him. :)FYI: reviews on how the bottle leaks are on the old bottle design. The new ones have been out since July, and they are awesome!

I absolutely love 5Phases, more importantly my 9 month old loves his bottles. We have been using them since he was a couple months old. Can't go wrong with a glass bottle that is protected by a plastic sleeve. We use both the 4oz and 8oz bottles. The silicone plugs are also a great feature. Highly recommend the product. Their product is truly one of a kind. They are simply fabulous!!!
