I have used many grill thermometers/monitors while cooking pork butts for pulled pork. Prices ranging from $10 - $100. The decision for this purchase took me some time to make due to the cost. Right off the bat I am super happy that I did. It is by far the most superior grilling Meat Thermometer on the market. The build quality is through the roof. The probes are heavy and made to withstand a really good amount of heat. I have had no issues with bluetooth or wi-fi connectivity at all. While using it, the probes have multiple areas in them where you can get readings from the tip to the ceramic end. This is really helpful because not only are you getting the measurement for the temperature of your meat but it also gives you the external heat measurement of the surrounding area. I use a pellet grill and this right there is important. This allows you to make sure that your grill is working properly and helps to make sure you are not running too hot. I mainly use this for pulled pork and roasts where the meat is going to be on the grill for 10 to 16 hrs. The Wi-Fi and bluetooth allows me to monitor the grill from anywhere. And when I say from anywhere, I mean from anywhere. The app you install on your phone lets you monitor the temps while you sit in your living room waiting for dinner or from the grocery store if you have to make a quick trip via the internet. I was able to check my grill while being 14 miles away at a friends house to drop off some items. (Wife was still home, DO NOT LEAVE GRILL UNATTENDED) The app also has a system that can recommend cooking times and temps for you if you do not already know what you want. It is done by selecting what type of protein, cut and doneness you want for the outcome. Build quality is super nice. The base unit is heavy being made from a solid plastic encased in a nice aluminum frame. Batter life is really good. I have yet to run out of juice while using this item. I got the 4-probe model, and it’s been great for cooking. I typically use 2 probes for cooking, or more depending on what I’m making. I even used it for Christmas dinner to monitor the bird and stuffing, and it gave me a constant temperature, so I didn’t have to worry about the risk of salmonella. The screen is fantastic — very easy to use, and the time estimates are almost spot on. This has made cooking so much easier and more reliable. One note: I would recommend the 2-probe model unless you frequently cook a lot of foods or big batches. For everyday cooking, the 2 probes are usually more than enough. Highly recommend this for anyone looking to step up their cooking game!

Awesome probes, temps work great so far for both internal and ambient. Easy cook set up, and what is nice is it takes an average across the probe so my cooks are coming out far better than just one reading deep inside or on the edge. Have not had a probe drop its signal, connection is solid, and love the rechargeable type c cord for it, no more batteries. I have a meater block also and so far the Typhur has been way better

This a great device. Ambient temp reading are accurate, but only once the meat the probe is in gets up to a warmer temp. So for the first half of a cook it's not terribly accurate. Connections are great and would recommend over Meater any day.

So far, impressed. Appears accurate. Must have a good slab of meat if you want accurate readings. With the cost of meat today, definitely worth it if you find it on sale.
