an awesome bit of kit i should had this years ago

Very disappointed - expected more from a Roughneck product - Poor design
Very disappointed. The saw didn't seem to cut as well as my larger Bahco bow saw, some of this will be because its smaller but I felt the blade design isn't as good as Bahco. And i could have lived with this, but the main issue I have is the blade is held at each end by a small bolt with a washer and butterfly nut. I only cut 3 or 4 branches and one of the nuts worked loose and fell off never to be found again, which is dangerous as the blade came loose and nearly cut I now realise other makes use a lever system to hold the blade in place.The one good thing was the saw came with a second blade that would have useful for cutting metal.However, due to the poor design I have returned the item

Not brilliant
Not brilliant ended up up using my old saw to prune apple tree.

Great Size and Quality
Great compact size that can be very useful, cuts fast, would of been nice to get a blade cover

A fantastic little bow saw
The Roughneck 300mm 12-inch Bow Saw is a fantastic little saw, well made, comfy grip, cuts really well and does come with a blade cover - it also comes with a hack saw blade, Fantastic. Excellent price on Amazon too. I would absolutely recommend this if you need a small bow saw.
