I injured my shoulder and, with continued pressure on it on a daily basis due to a physical job, it was getting worse not better. I was recommended to try this product to allow me to continue to work while still getting the support I needed. The first day I wore it, my shoulder actually felt worse when I took it off in the evening to shower. But by the end of the second day, I was already seeing improvement, which has continued day by day. This brace will restrict your range of motion to a degree. I cannot lift anything reasonably heavy above mid-chest height comfortably while wearing it. If you try to move beyond the range of motion that is acceptable for allowing healing, it will move around, ride up and become uncomfortable. If you accept the restricted range of motion, which is a restriction that should be self-imposed to obtain good healing but is difficult to achieve without a physical reminder, it's not overly uncomfortable to wear and does provide good support. The strap can rub a little and I recommend wearing a thin shirt under the brace.

I have a torn tendon of the supraspinatus muscle in my left shoulder, part of the rotator cuff complex, which will require surgery to repair. While I've been waiting to see the surgeon, and then for insurance to play doctor and finally approve the surgery, I found I needed some support to relieve some of the ache. I tried kinesio tape, but it didn't provide enough support and caused a rash on top of my shoulder. This brace, with some adjustment to personal dimensions, does take up some of the weight of the arm and gives some relief to the shoulder joint. It doesn't restore full motion, of course, but it does help with comfort. It does take some adjusting to get enough support without the neck edge rubbing up against the neck and annoying the wearer.

These are a lifesaver! If you are trying to treat a shoulder injury and need to hold ice pack or poultice with medicine in place all day or all night, then this is the perfect solution! They can be put in place using only you good arm with a little practice.

It’s assistive. Size- I’m 5’1” so I purchased a small/medium. My arms aren’t super thin at all but this still rises even when I tighten the arm strap. If you have toned/muscular arms, it may stay in place a bit better. I purchased this for a strained arm muscle which is very painful & I can’t lift my arm above my head, this stabilizes to just enough for me to drive. Wearability- it’s NOT BREATHABLE at all. You are going to pour sweat! It gets very hot so avoid outdoors or areas that aren’t well ventilated. For women, we have to wrap this over top of our breasts area and under the arm so careful not to strap it on too tight; if you do, it’ll cause more pain than it relieves. It doesn’t provide any LIFT to the sensitive area, it just LIMITS your arm movement. It smells like plastic, very strong, new plastic. I advise purchasing two so you can keep one washed and the other in use. I wear it in the morning, during laundry time, DRIVING, and a few hours before bed. It cuts across the throat and that’s the biggest con for me; feels like I’m choking a bit until I adjust it. It’s not cushioned. Overall, it’s not the very best on the market but it’s certainly not the worst for the price. If you’re going through physical therapy and trying to heal, this device is added support to your therapy. Oh it comes with an EXTRA extension strap for larger/bigger arms/bodies… that’s a plus! Give it a try 💪🏽

This is an excellent product! I have inflammation in my rotator cuff. I work in a food manufacturing facility and I need to be able to make adjustments to my brace on the fly. I don’t have time to go to someone to ask them to help me adjust my brace when I’m working on the line. The bicep buckle allows me to do that. Other brands don’t have that. Others say to ask someone else for in putting their brace on. I don’t have time for that! This brace also has Velcro straps up around the shoulder for more support. The whole area is receptive for Velcro. You are not limited by anything and you can tighten it as much as you need to. With other brands, you are limited to the size of the square patch that is Velcro receptive. The rest of the area does not accept Velcro. If you need more support, too bad! You won’t find it here! This shoulder brace is by far the best one on the market. I’ve put it through its paces on the production floor and it has held up amazingly! Highly recommended!
