If you're questioning getting a shoulder pillow after surgery, let me answer for you. GET ONE!!! i tend to overdo it after shoulder surgery. I learned my lesson and kept my arm in the sling, like I was supposed to. But I was still sore a lot. Having to trouble sleeping and getting comfortable, this pillow is awesome. It works with my basic sling and keeps my shoulder rested. It's comfortable to use when laying down. And I didn't know how uncomfortable I was sitting down until I used this pillow, get it. I couldn't believe the box that came and actually had a pillow in it. Because it was so light. Just get it. You will not be disappointed. I got the small medium. I am about 5'5" and it is perfect. It is super soft and I am autistic so sensory issues are a real deal for me. My shoulder feels very much supported.Then just with the sling itself. I was given a basic sling after surgery. The uh the shoulder strap is a plus I like that it straps to my arm. So it doesn't move during the night, though. I probably will still use it with my sling. I don't know either way. I think it's a wonderful pillow, definitely worth buying. Even if you're only using it during recovery. You will be so glad you did.

So comfy ordered a 2nd! I had shoulder replacement 3 weeks ago then my wife broke her arm & elbow requiring surgery, bithe options for slings are uncomfortable given hiw many hours we have to wear them, we found these and ordered one, after testing it out I ordered another but large size for me and I must say it's a game changer! Especially for sleep. This allows me to sleep on my side vs in a recliner state, w/out losing control of my arm, not allowing it to fall backwards and secure it in proper position, and it's VERY COMFORTABLE! We highly recommend!

Just received this great pillow sling in the second week post op reverse shoulder replacement surgery. It's immediately so much better than having my arm on several pillows or holding my painful right arm with my other hand ..wish I had gotten this right away prior to surgery. It's absolutely a game changer for comfort and allows me to take walks outside without my arm in an uncomfortable sling or hanging by my side. On a ride in the car it's also perfect,..no need to carry bed pillows back and forth to support my arm. Great quality product and the softness / firmness is just perfect.

I read one person's review about things being on the wrong side or snaps being on wrong side, and you have to switch it around to work for either your right or left side. It will work for both sides, but mine came fixed to the L side. So, just stretch the elastic wrist band over to the other side and flip the shldr strap over to be on the correct side. Easy!! So, just clarifying what another person wrote, who apparently didn't figure it out. Now, having said that, I bought it to use post-surgery for a rotator-cuff tendon tear. I am a 145 lb, 5'5" woman. This pillow is WAY too big overall, and the strap is about a foot too long. I tightened the strap as far as it would go, and it still would not hold my arm in the position I will need it to be in post surgery. Furthermore, the pillow would not come anywhere close to fitting snug under my armpit - as shown in the picture - because it is so "too big!" This pillow might work for a regular size man, but it is way too large overall - both strap being about 1 foot too long and pillow not fitting snugly enough under the arm. I am returning and will look for something better...or will just try to sleep in my regular arm sling!

THE BEST!!! I had a big shoulder surgery involving the rotator cuff among other things. I was removing my sling while sleeping because of the discomfort and violent spasms in my bicep. I had to find a safe solution quickly, to immobilize my arm while allowing for comfort. This pillow is the best. I started sleeping uninterrupted all night. My arm was snugged and safe, and in the event of a spasm I could easily get my hand out of the strap, stretch, and slide my hand back under the strap. I am 3 months post op and I still use it - shoulder healing and rehabilitation take forever and sleeping well is crucial for a better outcome. It was a game changer. I highly recommend it.

Looked perfect in ad but not as represented. Got this pillow for after shoulder replacement. Not nearly enough stuffing to be supportive, you can add more but you have to go buy it. The pad on the neck strap will not stay in place, it slides up and down and strap adjustment doesn’t stay tight. Description touts it has a thumb strap and 2 hand elastic bands to secure hand from falling out but pillow I received only had 1 strap and no thumb loop. Where the pillow tucks under the arm, the extension in front sticks out and sometimes gets in my face. Nicest is the soft fabric but the pocket won’t hold even my phone because the pillow is much too squishy. I would have returned but I passed the return date because I had purchased in advance of my surgery. Tried several adjustments for a couple of days, but I would need to do some major modifications to get it to be acceptable for post surgery use. Save your money

I purchased this following rotator cuff surgery, and it made such a difference. It kept my arm supported, comfortable, and protected while healing, and it allowed me to continue working. I would definitely recommend it to anyone recovering from shoulder surgery.

This support pillow is perfect for after surgery for sleep and work. It’s very soft and excellent firmness, compare to a few other brands I tried. The strap is supportive on the shortest length for a smaller woman, but can be extended for someone larger. I use it for sleeping comfortably and I also use one for supporting my shoulder while sitting at my desk on my computer.

Good soft support for arm and shoulder stability, used daily. Bought a second one in different colour.

I ordered this cause I was hoping for one that was a little bigger than my old one. As you can see in the photo there is quite a difference in size. I will be returning it I need a bigger pillow and there was a noticeable price difference between my old one and this one costing more.
