Very effective, but stray hairs are inevitable
I have dark hair that grows back very quickly after shaving and I'm prone to razor burn so this seemed like an excellent option for me. I found the device itself quite easy to use, the instructions are comprehensive, and it's easy to get set up and ready to go. You get folding sunglasses to avoid any eye damage, although I personally use my own, as they have more side coverage. If you're using this on a larger area like your legs, you may find it a little bit on comfortable just to hold the device and keep firing it. Once I finished the session, I found there was very little irritation other than the normal razor burn from shaving the area before the session (you need to shave the area at least 2 hours before using this device, preferably the day before). You have to do several sessions. As a test I only did it on one leg and just continue shaving the other on the same schedule and within two sessions I could see there was less regrowth. Continuing on with the sessions I found I have very sparse regrowth at this point. I'm quite pleased this overall, just be aware that it's not going to be as effective on lighter hair

user-friendly device that delivers professional results
I've been using this laser hair removal device for a few weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed! The ice cooling feature really makes the treatment comfortable and nearly painless. The 0.5-second flash is efficient, and with three precision heads, it’s easy to target different areas, whether it’s full body, bikini line, or smaller spots. I appreciate the variety of energy levels and the convenient auto mode, which has made my at-home sessions both safe and effective. Overall, it’s a user-friendly device that delivers professional results without the hassle of salon appointments. Highly recommended for anyone looking to simplify their hair removal routine!

Do a patch test before going full steam ahead
Before you start any IPL hair removal regime, you need to make sure your skin is suitable and can handle the treatment. People react differently to treatments depending on their skin sensitivity. So, it’s important to do a patch test the day before on the area of your body you intend to treat, such as legs, arms, face or bikini. You might even react differently on different parts of your body! Secondly, you need to understand how the treatment works and who will have the most success. Essentially, you need as much contrast as possible between your hair colour and skin colour, with fair skin and dark hair being the best combination. This is not laser treatment. Laser treatment targets the top layer of the skin whereas IPL targets at a lower level and shouldn’t affect the top layer of skin. IPL is gentler than laser. I presume most people will read a review about an IPL hair removal device to discover if the machine ‘works’ or not. Well, I’ve been reading a lot about hair removal and it’s not as simple as that. Intense Pulsed Light heats up the single hair at the base and kills it. Each hair that you treat could potentially be treated effectively and prevented from ever growing back, so make sure you are happy with that! Each hair could also potentially need treating again, depending on where the hair was in the growth cycle when it was treated. It is recommended to shave before treating as short hair will have better success of the light penetrating down into the base than long hair. Once you start hair removal sessions, more and more hairs should be treated successfully and less hair should grow back. You need to see this as a project with a final goal, rather than a quick-fix solution! In addition to hair removal, there are also a few other skin situations that can be helped with IPL treatment. I would advise you to do your own research on those. The Mlay IPL hair removal device is a lovely-looking machine. It feels good to hold and is easy to use. There are instructions explaining how to use it and the model I received has three different heads (for face/bikini/legs) The device won’t work unless it detects that it has been placed against the skin, which is a great safety feature. Glasses are included so ensure you wear those when using the machine. The device also has a cooling feature included to help lessen the likelihood of burning. Start off gently at a low level. It shouldn’t hurt when you treat the hair so find which level out of the five is in your comfort zone. The device is turned on/off with a long press of the power button, and a short press cycles through the five settings. The ice symbol turns on the cold treatment. I’m looking forward to seeing if this IPL machine will help both me and my partner achieve hair-free futures!

Laser Hair Removal Device
Loved the sound of this device and I have been wanting to try one for a while. Everything seems to be included with this set and quality seems okay. Will update once used for the month to feedback results.

Convenient device however do your homework on the eye protection provided
Intense pulsed light (IPL) is an effective way to reduce unwanted hair, and also for a number of other skincare goals. This product is a neat, hand-held device that allows you to do your own hair removal treatments in the privacy of your home, at your convenience, and at a lower cost than you would pay at a beauty salon. One aspect to be aware of is your eyesight while using any kind of light-emitting device such as this one. This IPL device outputs 510-1200nm which is an effective spectrum for hair removal. However, without using the correct protective eyewear, IPL treatments can have a long-term and permanent effect on the health of your eyes. The guidebook that comes with this product says you should wear the included goggles. However, the included 'goggles' look to be little more than sunglasses. I cannot find any information on whether these glasses/goggles provide the correct level of eye protection by filtering out the light emitted by this device. Also the style means they still allow light to come in from the sides of your face, and I am not convinced that this is enough protection. By all means consider this device, however do take my points about eye protection into consideration as I personally don't think that what is provided is adequate.

Great!
This is a great laser hair removal device and especially as it comes with the different attachments and glasses so you have the full kit. It look stylish, but more importantly it does work! The flashes aren't painful at all, the flash is more what surprises me each time but there's no pain, just a quick light slap sensation. I noticed a large decrease in how quickly my hair was growing back and it's also growing back a lot sparser and there are definitely patches this has fully worked. This does take repeated sessions to get it's full effect, but it is great and gives you lovely smooth skin too, as you've not got as many stubbly hairs growing back each time!

Very well presented, well-made device!
The device comes in a good presentation type box, with a luxurious feel about it. The handheld unit is small and lightweight, and very well-made. It comes with a number of accessories included, which there's no need for me to repeat here. The unit is easy to use after familiarising yourself with the instructions and use. Power on, glasses on, apply to skin, and trigger the firing button if doing it manually, or you can set it to fire automatically while running it along the skin. I tried it on level 1, and didn't feel anything, so took it up to 3, which wasn't painful in any way, but could feel the flash going. As it's my first time using and didn't and wasn't sure how my skin would react later, I left it at level 3. There wasn't anything different a day later, so I should be able to take it up a bit. The results will take up to 4 weeks before noticing a difference, so patience is needed. This will also only work on certain hair colours, so do make sure you fit in with the colour ranges. Overall, it looks to be a very capable machine at producing positive results that would cost a lot more in regular salon IPL treatments... I like it!
