PLZ7" Wireless Double Din Car Stereo Apple Carplay Radio QLED Screen for Car, Android Auto, Bluetooth 5.3, Fast Charger, 1080P Backup Camera, 4.2 Channel Outputs 240W, 2 Subwoofer

Replaced the aftermarket double din stereo in my 2006 Tacoma. Used Metra double din dash kit and Red Wolf wiring harness in the installation. I followed YouTube guidance and used the included trim removal tool to install the new P. L. Z unit . I used the original Toyota mounting bracket, which fit very well. The P.L. Z documentation made it very clear how to wire up the new stereo. They included a new rear camera, but I used my existing camera, so I can't review the new one. They also provided a remote control, which in my opinion is not needed. The only thing that took some finessing was the fishing of the USB connector through the dash. It took me about ten minutes to position the USB connector to a convenient location.Connecting the stereo to Android Auto was fast and easy. I have a 2023 MOTO G, so Android Auto was already on the phone. I connected the stereo to my phone Bluetooth and everything automatically installed and configured. The new QLED display was very bright, clear and detailed. I use Waze and Pandora, so I selected those apps on the stereo. Everything worked great. I really like that the unit has mechanical buttons for volume and other key functions. It was quite easy to use while driving. You can also use voice commands to query Google or perform unit functions such as selecting new driving directions. In addition to Pandora, Android Auto provides access to my other audio sources such as audio books, which is quite convenient.Another very useful feature is fast charging. According to Motorola, fast charging triggers their Turbo Charge mode. Moto states that Turbo creates 6 hours of phone use for only 30 minutes of charging. Very useful when you are short of time. I checked it out and it works well. The only downside was that I had to buy a USB-C to USB-C cable.This is a well designed and implemented car stereo. The unit does provide the wireless Android Auto function for about third of the cost of name brands like Pioneer. The only issue with an online company could be customer support. In the short time I have owned the stereo, I have found that the company provides excellent customer service. My questions were answered via email within a day.

I have several older cars (2000-2004) that could use a radio refresh. This stereo is intended for an older GM truck with double DIN. One of the advantages is the shallow depth which puts less stress on the wires tht end up bunched behind the stereo. I recommend finding a wire harness adaptor so you're not compromising the OEM plugs.Testing the stereo headunit out, I ran into one issue. Bluetooth connected to the phone fine, but not Carplay. I could plug in using the rear USB to attach my phone for Carplay, but not bluetooth. Apparently, this is not unique because the text on screen says that 'you have have to delete all other bluetooth devices from your phone to connect". What? I don't think I want to go through the hassle of setting up all the other devices again. From that standpoint, this headunit was a fail for me - but I cannot over-react and give 1 star.The screen resolution is good. There are a lot of set up options with cameras (front and rear, but only came with the rear). Volume buttons on the headunit are welcome. I have another stereo that doesnt include any....not easy to adjust without flipping through menus. The unit itself is unremarkable in appearance, but blends into the dash well.Overall, its a decent system - but I really don't know how to overcome the issue of Carplay bluetooth without deleting existing connections. Frustrating and thus 4 stars.

This radio from PLZ sounds so much better than the radio that came with the vehicle. Also the ability to have a screen as sharp and clear as this one and the ability to use Apple car play is just the icing on top.For the price and what you actually get in this unit it’s a no brainer.
