This is a nice inch / metric set of hex (Allen head) sockets. They are reasonably compact in outside diameter, especially for impact sockets. The range of sizes in the set is quite good from arguably "overkill" on the small end to larger than most users are likely to encounter.The drive ends are nicely made with a clean chamfer entrance and indents on all four sides to engage w/ retainers on the wrench / extension. The hex ends are clean and long enough to have good engagement with the fasteners, but keep the length of the bits quite short (about 1') The exterior is cut as a hex to keep them from rolling and allow turning the bits with a box or open end wrench. The hex is 17mm, but an 11/16" wrench fits loosely but will work.The black bits are clearly marked for size in a contrasting gold color on two sides. They are NOT stamped or etched, but the marking seems pretty durable, I was unable to scratch it off with a knife.The set comes in a hard foam block which is stamped for size, and holds the sockets securely. It may wear over time, but I had a hard time shaking any of the sockets out 'accidentally' but they are easy to pull out when needed. The block is stamped with the sizes but the stamps are low contrast (can be improved w/ a bit of paint or a sharpie)Overall a nice set.

Today I received the toolant 3/8"drive impact hex bit socket set 27PCS,Hex Drive, SAE/Metric. They are kind of short profile and stout. I have a lot of tools but didn't have a full set of these yet. I've a big set of allens but sometimes there just isn't the room to turn an L shaped wrench. These are short and snap on to a 3/8 ratchet or air ratchet. It's the kind of tool you probably won't use every day but glad it's there when you need it.My favorite thing about this set is the labeling. Nice clear numbers large enough to see and in silver so it really pops on the black background.My least favorite thing is theres no box for them. Just a firm pad of foam rubber with cutouts that are specific to the size they house. A surrounding plastic box would've been nice. The foam is going to take up too much room in a tool box so I'll get another socket rack to store them on. Hence the 4 stars, no storage.

This is a good set of hex bits. They're accurately sized. For example, the 12mm measured as 11.87mm and the 6mm showed as 5.97mm. Also, I like this exterior profile that you can put a wrench on - this opens up a bunch of different ways to use these bits. For easy stuff, I've been using a socket screwdriver to spin down the bolt and then cinch it up with a box end or ratchet. These bits are short, too, so they can be used in tighter spots. For example, the 12mm is just 25.6mm long. After using these bits, it makes me want all the bits to be this way. The profile on the interior of the socket works well, too. They have a shallow ramp to the dimple that seems to make it easier to snap on a wrench. A few of the bits had some sort of yellow coloration inside the socket - it doesn't seem to be corrosion, so maybe something left over from the manufacturing? One other thing that I like in this kit is the foam drawer insert. I hope we see more of these trays. They're a lot more useful than some trashy blow molded case, especially for tools like these bits that'll seldom leave the bench.

Other reviewers have already described this set in considerable detail so I don't have a lot to add. These seem to be very well-made hex bits in both SAE and Metric sizes. The foam case is fine but it would be great if there were also a protective box for it. I'm going to use the cardboard box as long as I can get away with it but an impact resistant plastic box would have been a welcome addition. It's great that these are impact grade hex bits. That's primarily why I was interested in this set. The price seems reasonable given the apparent quality I just wish there were a real case.
