Great wire.
This wire mesh is great. It was everything it was supposed to do and more. I was making leather armor and put this between two layers of leather and worked great!! I am going to use it for making a strainer also. It’s pretty tough stuff. Tin snips cut through it pretty good. No complaints.

mesh that finally stopped my tank top from turning into orange sadness
I bought this because I got tired of metal tank tops doing the same predictable thing: looking fine for a while, then slowly becoming a rust-flavored science project. If you run a turtle tank, you know the environment is basically “humidity + splashes + heat = corrosion speedrun.” Most “metal” screens seem to take that personally and start decaying out of spite. This 304 stainless mesh has been the opposite. It’s been the “boring reliable” I wanted: strong enough to use as a top, easy enough to cut/shape for your setup, and most importantly it holds up way better against the constant damp reality of a turtle world. The size roll is also a win. You get enough material to mess up once (or twice), still have plenty left, and you don’t feel like every cut is a high-stakes operation. And because it’s 20 mesh, it’s a nice balance: airflow is good, it functions as a barrier, and it doesn’t feel like you’re putting a solid lid on the tank. Now, Bob The Magical Talking Turtle is the kind of creature who treats “the top of the tank” like it’s the edge of the universe. She will climb. She will test. She will look at a weak point and interpret it as an invitation. So I wanted a top that doesn’t sag, doesn’t rust fast, and doesn’t become a hazard. This has been solid. When I installed it, Bob The Magical Talking Turtle approached the edge, peered up at the new “sky barrier,” and did that slow, thoughtful stare she does when she’s evaluating whether something is worthy of her realm. Then she nudged it once—lightly, like a queen tapping a railing—and went back to basking. That is her version of approval. And honestly, this mesh does what the clear netting does in a different way: it reinforces the boundary. It keeps the “sky” where it belongs, but with more strength and way less rust drama. Practical notes: Cutting/shaping: it’s metal mesh, so use snips and be smart about sharp edges (you don’t want surprise pokes). Great choice for humid aquarium/turtle environments specifically because it resists rust way better than random cheap screens. Plenty of material for custom tops, vent covers, and general “I need a barrier” projects. If you’re tired of tank screens rusting out like they’re allergic to water, this stainless mesh is a big upgrade. Bob The Magical Talking Turtle approves. She also wants me to tell you that boundaries are a form of kindness, and she will continue testing them daily like it’s her job.

Works well happy with this product
They are exactly as stated , they are durable and at the same time strong . I did fine that some of the edges not only were pretty sharp ( which isn't unreasonable ) but the edges on some started to in a way fray where I could pull stings of metal from the screen. Again they are definitely worth the money and I would buy them again I would just be careful of the sharp edges. I do recommend this product

Product is as described and worked well for my need.
This screen is fairly stiff but shapable and does not respond to a strong magnet, so I am confident that it is stainless steel. It measured as 20 mesh (20 openings per inch and came as 9 pieces, 6" X 12 "in a reusable plastic bag. I have used it with a heat gun to repair a heavy duty garbage can-see picture of work in progress, using zip ties for extra plastic (brown stuff is dirt, not rust!) This was exactly what I expected and worked well! Trivia mesh embedded into plastic is strong, yet flexes as needed, unlike most other options.

A rodent bouncer for your house
This stainless steel mesh is a rodent bouncer for your house, and it does not let mice sneak past. During a laundry room remodel, I used it along the bottom of exterior bays, stapled in place, to block any “welcome gaps” leading into the walls. Once installed, it’s clear this stuff means business. It’s very stiff, very strong, and very sharp, which is great for mice and less great for bare hands, definitely wear gloves and use proper metal shears unless you enjoy learning lessons the hard way, like I did. . After installing this, I’m confident no mouse is squeezing, chewing, negotiating, or filing a formal complaint to get through. This mesh doesn’t bend, doesn’t give, and doesn’t play games. If you want a long-term, no-nonsense solution to rodent intrusion, this is it.
