I can't believe it took us this long to buy a rechargeable grinder! We have used battery operated grinders for over 25 years and they take 4 AA batteries which adds up over time. Though this set is not cheap, it is well worth the price even if you don't add up all the money we have spent on batteries over the years. We use our pepper grinder at least once a day, so we go through a lot of batteries. The unit works very well and it is easy to adjust the coarseness of the pepper and salt. It has a light at the bottom so you can see where the salt/pepper is going and although we don't need that, it is kind of cool to have. The grinders and the base are study and are of good quality. I really like that the grinders have a light on them that tells you if there is a charge in them. They are simple to use, just lightly push the button and it grinds for you. I was worried that debris would fall off the bottom of them and land on the base, but you just shake it lightly and you are good to go. The base is easy to clean too if something does get on it. And the look is so sleek & stylish! They go well with any kitchen and they do not take up a lot of room. I highly recommend this and think I will start giving them out as housewarming gifts in the future.

Easy to use and set grind size. Has long-wearing ceremic grinding plate. The kit needs a plug in to the wall socket specifically for the USB coed. It should be included.
