This is the first ever Iron Maiden Zoetrope picture disc vinyl featuring unique zoetrope artwork. The original sleeve has been expanded and contains new artwork and exclusive notes from Steve Harris. Review: Avatara's review of Iron Maiden Powerslave 40Th Anniversary Zoetrope Vinyl - The album cover is faithful to the original version released in 1984 and is now on a gatefold format. If it wasn't for the hype sticker on the front cover you could be forgiven for thinking that it was an original copy. The inner artwork of the gatefold has some unused photos of the band from the album cycle which are very nice but the real treasure is the "diecut" Eddie artwork that has been commissioned for this 40Th Anniversary version. Iron Maiden have outdone themselves once again with quality and content. There is also a gatefold inner lyric sheet included in the package with liner notes from Steve Harris, song lyrics and album credits. The whole package is faithful to the original but slightly tweeked for the anniversary version. The vinyl itself is a "Zoetrope" version which is supposed to create an optical illusion whilst playing on the turntable, it does not. The artwork on the vinyl disc becomes a blurr whilst playing which is a bit of a let down. The playback quality is excellent and very well balanced, it is a joy to listen to. My second gripe for this edition is the very steep price (£30.00), it would seem that vinyl is fast becomming too expensive to buy in these "Cost of Living Crisis" days. As wonderful as this anniversary version is I feel that it is for the avid collectors and superfans of the band only. I have multple copies of this album on the vinyl and CD formats, so I will be spinning those instead of this version. Great care and dedication was taken by those who are responsible for this little treasure, it really is quite special and overall I don't regret spending my money on it. It will make an interesting addition to my Iron Maiden collection. Review: Great collector’s piece for any Iron Maiden fan - I’m a big Iron Maiden fan and bought this mainly as a collector’s item rather than something to actually play, and it’s a brilliant addition to the collection. The artwork is fantastic and the vinyl itself looks really well made. Even though I haven’t played it, the overall presentation and quality feel top tier. For anyone who loves Maiden, this is definitely a must-have. It captures the style and energy of Powerslave perfectly and makes a great display piece. The value for money is good too considering it is a limited edition and the production quality is high.

Nice to look at, not so much for audio clarity
As with all picture discs the audio kinda sucks ( actually that's not fair, its ok), but if you can get a decent strobe on your phone set to the right speed, then turn off the lights and enjoy the spectacle...

A fitting tribute to Pharaoh Eddie!
Fantastic piccy disc which is a great tribute to this album and its legendary cover too. If you love Maiden then you’ll definitely want this piccy disc. Yes there’s a bit of surface noise when playing like all picture discs but it’s fab seeing the Zoetrope effect . Another reason why playing LP’s is an event! Up the Irons !

Sound is really bad and the Zoetrepe doesn't work. Seems like a counterfeit.
