Wasn't sure that if I was going to like this product or not, but I have to admit I am quite surprised. I got this to try to start building out a rig for my Google Pixel 10 Pro XL. For those who have this phone, know that it is hard to find just about anything built specifically for it. The whole reason for me to move to SmallRig was that Moment is no longer supporting Pixel phones so I was taking a big gamble on this to work. This paired with the SMALLRIG 67mm Threaded Filter Adapter with Detachable Sun Hoods, powerbank clamp, and USB 4-in-1 hub is a great starter build for Pixel users so long as you get an unsued set. (Look for my review on that filter adapter if Amazon allows it to post.) ***** NOTE: IF YOU ARE A PIXEL USER AND WILL BE USING THE SMALLRIG 67mm Threaded Filter Adapter with Detachable Sun Hoods, YOU WILL HAVE TO USE THE CAGE'S CLAMP WHICH MEANS THE MAGNETS WILL NOT LINE UP BETWEEN THE CLAMP AND YOUR PHONE. THIS MEANS YOU ARE 100% RELIANT ON THE CLAMP ITSELF TO HOLD THE PHONE. You will more than likely have to use the Samsung hood. This will still leave a bit of a gap between the phone and lens. Whether you use the clamp or just use the magnets, it should fit and stay securely. See pics.***** If you can deal with that then this is the rig for you. The SmallRig 4-in-1 USB-C Hub with a Cold Shoe Mount and power bank clamp allows me to use my Hollyland Lark M2 Wireless Lavalier Microphones, power bank, light, or even connect my Zoom F3 so I can use either a shotgun or my clippies with my rig! The quick snap handles with remote trigger is a huge plus and makes both taking stills and videos easier. Last in case if you are wondering, with my phone case on and whether using the clamp or not, it did pass my shake test. Phone stayed on the maget or clamp without any movement or falling off. If you are a Pixel user this is probably the best out there for the money and versatility.

Really awesome rig at a great price. Well worth the investment, with near limitless modularity to create the perfect setup for all type of scenarios. The phone mounts and dismounts quickly while being totally secure in the mount. The handles give great control and stability to shots, creating a smooth motion with tracking shots. Great versatility and mobility.

Cages are essential when using your phone as a video camera for production for several reasons. They protect the phone, they allow you to attach accessories, and they provide handles to manage your camera for the best shots. I've been using a variety of cages for years. but this is my first SmallRig. The video rig arrived well-boxed and completely free of damage. It is a little heavy, but as a solid metal cage, its weight I have no issue with it. Assembly took a while, primarily in putting together the two handles that come standard with the cage (several other manufacturers only include one). Once the handles are assembled, they clip easily and solidly onto the cage edges on the sides or top and bottom - giving you a lot of possible grip arrangements. One of the handles includes a wireless shutter control which allows you to start and stop recording without have to tap your phone screen. This is a big plus in a production environment. Both handles include a hex wrench tucked into their base and hidden by a cap which makes assembly tasks straightforward, The cage easily affixes to a photographer's tripod, external lights, microphones, data storage and other devices using cold-shoe attachments built into the frame. Once attached and tightened, they are very solid parts of the camera rig. Instead of being built to fix like a glove or case on your phone, this cage is built to hold a lot of models but iPhone and Android, even if they are in a protective case. You simply snap the phone into a mobile phone clip which grips it by its sides, or in the case of iPhones you can use the magnetic Magsafe connector to hold the phone in place. I prefer the Magsafe connection for speed and ease of use, though the clip is probably safer. In using the rig with both iPhones and Androids, I found the clip would sometimes slip side to side and end up pressing buttons on the sides of the phone - which could turn the phone off. The Magsafe connector doesn't get close to the side buttons, and allows easy access to them for use that the clip can make difficult on Androids like my Pixel 7. In the "like to have" category, I would LOVE for the Magsafe Connector actually to charge the iPhone, but it doesn't. You'll need a plug-in connector to do that. In using the case for some day-to-day location shooting, I like it. The handles are comfortable, the cage provides space around the camera to get access to buttons, and it provides lots of expansion spots for building the rig the way I want to. The shutter trigger/on-off switch in one handle is super convenient and very easy to set up with your phone via Bluetooth. Issues - I only found one that bothered me. The process of initially assembly for the handles is a bit of a pain because of how difficult it is to feed the screwed though the slots in the handles and screw them into place. Other cage makers do a better job of this. But after this initial problem, the assembled handles clip neatly into place. Overall, I give this cage high marks for everything except handle assembly. It is a good piece of equipment for people who want to shoot pro-quality video with their phone.

Original Bluetooth clicker didn’t work. Amazon made good as always, sent a new rig and I returned the faulty one. Loved the ease of use right out of the box with minimal setup. Easy to take apart for packing in my mobile content creator kit.

Simply exceptional. Very good quality and well-built. It literally holds anything you put in it. I loved the quick-release clamps. No more struggling with threads. You just remove and replace them wherever is most convenient. Plus, it has great capacity for accessories. I tried several phone cages, but this one is the best. Highly recommended.

Tried plastic, budget, cages previously, this is a significant step up. A decent number of attachment points, I've used it with a power pack adaptor, cable organisers, a card reader adaptor, lights, all kinds of things (NOT all at once!). I particularly like the hand grips, which are easy to remove, but lock securely into place. The right-hand grip includes a bluetooth shutter release, which I appreciate. Phones attach via MagSafe and/or a phone clamp. Very happy I purchased this.

Od pewnego czasu używam smartfona do nagrywania filmów stanowiących fragment większej całości nagrywanej innymi aparatami. Sprawdza się to doskonale. Jednak aby uzyskać właściwą jakość techniczną obrazu potrzebowałem urządzeń takich jakie oferuje SmallRig. Są to dobrze wykonane urządzenia sprawdzone przeze mnie w praktycznym działaniu. Dwa różne zestawy znakomicie się uzupełniające i - wbrew pozorom - nie stanowiące dla siebie konkurencji. Oba bardzo przydatne i wykorzystywane przeze mnie w różnych okolicznościach filmowych. Polecam!
