I am happy with this purchase. You might as well get the 18 hp for the money. Great value for what you get here.We set it up and put it on my 14’ job boatYou should research the break In period so you get it right. Moves this boat along as fast as I want to go. After break in period we are gonna go fast !!’Overall I am very happy for the money and for what I received. It’s so good to be on the water that it doesn’t matter how you get out there and this makes it affordable

I ran this boat maybe for one hour than it started leaking oil out off the bottom off the it .. I will never bye another one off these junk motors again and don’t recommend anyone else

So far so good...low cost clone of Yamaha 15r....parts easily found....1/3 the cost of name brand....have had 4 Hangkai outboards (3) 6hp over last 8 years..run good and if you rinse and grease important things of bare metal they do well in salt water....got the 18hp for my new Saturn Triton 18ft inflatable.....good value..if you do your maintenance on them!

The media could not be loaded. We have a 12 foot John boat. And this little motor will scoot across the water. It gets full speed about 25-30 mile an hour which is plenty fast enough for us. We’re in the middle of rebuilding the Jon boat because it belonged to my grandfather, but the motor had been left outside needed a new flywheel. It was a lot more for the old motor than what was needed so we ordered this one and we are very happy with our purchase.

Engine runs good, lower unit started leaking oil after 1 hour of use
