Wildly under-rated, great device
I use a Nikon mirrorless camera but my wife prefers just using her phone for taking pictures. So I got this for my wife, she has an iPhone 16 Pro. She really likes this device. It attaches securely to the phone through her case and she can attach her magnetic wallet to the grip too. Another big advantage is that it is also a battery that charges her phone. She also likes the functionality of the grip holding the phone upright on the table in front of her. The build quality is very good and feels great in her hands. I have even used it a couple of times to take quick snapshots and the shutter release feels natural in our hands. This is a really good design and a great value for the money for everything this brings to the package.

Good quality and long-lasting battery
Works well and is simple to operate. Battery lasts a long time, and it makes it much easier to hold the phone while photographing.

Smaller than original and half the price, no case when you order just the handle
The media could not be loaded. I am excited about the revised version which gets rid of that cheap hinge and opens the door for quick mounting with magsafe magnets. They also supply the magnets to use with other phones but ideally you are getting this for the iphone with magsafe charging option as this has a built in battery. The LEDs on the side are well built and clearly state the remaining battery power, magsafe actively charging and BT connection. The magnetic pull is pretty solid just make sure you are using a reliable case with magnetic ring built in. I wouldn’t suggest using case-less as accidents happen and this is only being held on by magnets. This new version has some of the same build quality of the original. Again, it doesnt scream quality in hand with the plastic feel of that grip handle, why not make it have more grip with a rubber feel. The buttons feel plastically as well when pushed. The look of it is nice and it works very well with the MAX/PLUS 6.7 series phones. It felt comfortable in hand in both portrait and landscape mode with the 6.7. In portrait viewing with the 6.1 and 6.7, it feels very comfortable in hand and easy to use. In landscape mode, i found it comfortable to use with the 6.7 but not with the 6.1 inch phone as much. With 6.1 inch phone more of the handle hangs off the end of the phone and with the 6.7 it lines up exactly with phone so you are holding both the handle and phone together and feels more secure and comfortable. The button is more in an uncomfortable position and not easily aligned under your index finger do to the fact of the overall smaller footprint. You really have to curl up your index finger to get it aligned with button instead of it being in a more natural position, more pronounced to have to do that with the 6.1 vs 6.7 phone size. Didn’t notice too much of a delay from when shutter button was pressed and when phone registered it. The magnetic charging worked well and definitely another plus with those long day adventures.I love the smaller footprint over the first generation, makes it more mobile friendly and something you can actually see taking with you for the day. The magsafe option for quick mounting and dismounting is perfect along with the innovative thoughts they made with adding additional magnetic accessories to it. Debatable purchase with iPhone 6.1 but more of a win with 6.7and in this economy who can not love that the revised version is around half the cost of the first version. The price point of it now is more acceptable to what you receive. I definitely would of appreciated the carry case when you just order the handle … seriously you only provide that when you order the bundle…??? The handle quality could definitely offer more grip which would in turn feel more premium. As well as the buttons not being so tinny and plastically when pressed. For $70 you have to up the premium a little more or at least offer the case.Other than those shortcomings they have a done a nice job with this revised version.** Your 6.7 phone will stand up with this handle attached but the 6.1 size will not .. will fall forward.** Sorry also seems to be only right hand compatible** 3200mAH battery

Pretty good
I ordered this for my iPhone 14 Pro. I have to say the magnet is pretty strong, I've read reviews where people says its not but I have tried to shake it free and only once did that happen. So safe to say the magnet will hold your phone securely.I really like how easily it makes taking photos or videos with your smart phone. Not only in terms of holding the photo but being able to compose and take the photo/video. It truly does make it feel like you're holding a DSLR. The ShiftCam SnapGrip bluetooth's to your phone so you can use the button to take photos. I did find that sometimes it would lose connectivity like a lot of bluetooth device can and do, but overall it's not enough of a deterrent to not want to keep using it or for you not to buy it. Just remember, you have to pair it with your smartphone in order for the bluetooth feature to work. You pretty much have to do this every time you connect your SnapGrip to your smart phone and turn both of them on.The SnapGrip does recharge your phone while you're taking photos with it. I found that when you plug it in to charge it up it takes the usual amount of time a device like this does to recharge. A light does blink to let you know it is charging. They include a magnetic mount with adhesive on it so you can put it on your smart phone or smart phone cover, while I stupidly put my on my iPhone 14 Pro phone cover I did not need to do that because it already has the magnet feature built into it. But if your phone does not this will help you attach the SnapGrig to that phone. They say you can order more of them but I did not find a place to do that. Perhaps I just wasn't looking in the right place. My biggest gripe is I take a LOT of photos with my phone attached to a cell phone mount usually mounted to a tripod or a ball head mounted on a large magnet it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to mount your phone with the ShiftCam SnapGrip on to that cell phone mount. Hoping the manufacturer of this really good product will design and sell a cell phone mount/clamp large enough to use with your SnapGrip attached to your smart phone. I realize not that many photographers take photos in this manner but the ones who do would really appreciate and buy a cell phone mount/clamp that enabled you to clip your smart phone with the Shift Cam SnapGrip attached to the smartphone. Right now the way it is designed its too wide to be able to safely put your smart phone on to it.While, some say the SnapGrip is slightly overpriced, I did not feel that way because I like using it so much. I adhere to the philosophy that if you feel something is made well and you use it lot then it is not overpriced.Summary: If you like taking photos/videos with a DSLR and want that kind of feel with your smart phone then this baby is for you!

Useless battery.
I wanted to like this grip. It feels good, not particularly heavy, and the magnet grips well enough. The problems, though, are very small battery. Wireless charging is extremely inefficient, so you're getting way less recharge capability. It'll do if you need a few more minutes of shooting time, but Don't buy this for its battery. The other thing I don't like about this grip is that there is no place really for you to rest your thumb and you will ultimately hit the screen on your phone at the most inopportune moment.
