Great product and functions as described. Used the to stich a bumper cover back together until a replacement can be obtain. Used the zigzag clips to effectively bond the pieces back together, they provide a lot of stability to the repair. Lastly, used the straight iron and blending shoe to smooth the seam on the outside. Only thing i didn't care for is it did not come with a carrying case which have been a nice touch to keep things organized.

I tried it once so far and it worked well. I think the 100 Watt is plenty sufficient for this tool. The only reason for the 4 stars is the lack of a case that all the other tools come with. This kit is definitely the way to go as it provides everything needed to repair and smooth over the repair with the separate iron. Spend the extra money for this kit, it's worth it if you intend to use it frequently.

Had to repair several cracks and holes in a plastic gas tank. Worked better than I expected. Followed the instructions using the "staple" then the mesh, then followed with just the rod to smooth it out. You can barely tell where it was done and its as durable as the existing plastic. I did some stress tests on a separate piece and the base material gave way before the repair did. Pressure tasted the tank after and no leaks. The staple pieces are great for large cracks in ATV fenders or similar materials. A lot cheaper than replacing expensive parts. Have used it on plastic bumper covers on cars as well. Can be sanded and painted just like factory. With so muck of our stuff now all made with plastics, the possibilities are endless on what you can use this on. There are multiple places to get colored filler materials to match you needs. Just make sure you match the base material as there are multiple types.

I've only had this for a day, and I've only done one repair, but it worked great. I shattered the shroud on my dirt bike and was able to quickly "weld" it back together. The staples heat up almost immediately, only taking a second or two before they could be pressed into the plastic. I ended up going back over the cracks with the iron and adding some filler with the rods, and that worked pretty well too. My shrouds don't quite look brand new, but they feel as strong as if they were.

Wow! This kit has everything I needed to do my first repair project! I'd like to have had this years ago! This is durable, easy to use, makes quick work of repair projects, and well worth the money. The money I saved on repairing the plastic bin on my wifes sewing cabinet paid for the whole kit. Now everything I repair is money in my pocket! Thanks Allturn! Works great. Sure beats the old solder gun attempts at doing what this can do with ease. I should have purchased this years ago. If you are on the fence about purchasing this do not wait another minute, you won't regret it!
