Every few months I give my washing machine a proper clean with this Dettol stuff and it’s honestly fool-proof. You just pour the whole bottle into the detergent drawer (main wash compartment), run a hot 60°C or 90°C cycle with the machine empty, and you’re done. Takes literally ten seconds to set up. Seemed to clean and refresh the machine quite well, but I did need to purchase a second bottle to get the machine really clean. After the first clean, I still had marks around the rim which I could remove even after scrubbing them, and it still smelt a little musty, thankfully the second bottle seemed to be more effective. Not sure if I'd buy again, as I have used products that were more effective after one use.
