do you have a wiring diagram for converting from 350-28700 avr to the as440 avr?

If you are going to use the AS440, you won't be connecting P2,P3&P4, for the PMG. They will need to be safely isolated and taped off. 7 &8 are your voltage sensing wires, may also be labeled 2& 3, go on the terminals marked as such. The exciter wires are x and xx and go on the terminals marked as such. All the markings are on the back side of the regulator. Don't forget to set the jumpers for you correct Hz and pole arrangement. This is also shown on the paperwork sent with the regulator.

My as 440 has a transformer on it, this one does not appear to. what is the diference?

First make certain it is the same model. Second,the transformer may have been replaced with other components. None of the replacement AS440 have a transformer.
