The saddle on our indoor exercise is a bit uncomfortable so getting this seat was a must. It fits well and is comfortable to use, but haven't bothered with using the optional back rest.Fitting it was fairly straight forward, which was helped by the unusually decent quality of the supplied spanner and Allen key. Most tools supplied with self-assembly items are cheap and flimsy.The ironmongery with the seat is pretty meaty and the overall finish is good. The PU seat cover should be durable and take some wear, although it is finished by stapling the material around the underside of the seat frame. Admittedly that's not an area that should get directly wet in the rain, but I do wonder how long the staples will take to rust away when the atmosphere is damp and then the material starts to detach. Most bikes at home will, after all be kept in a shed or outside under a cover.To conclude, this is a good bike seat for anyone wanting something a bit more comfy and supportive than the standard manufacturers seat. For outdoors storage and cycling though, my tip would be to finish the underside seams of the seat material with a bit of extra weather proofing e.g. by covering all the staples with a length of Duct tape.

Over priced, over sized garbage. The rails under the saddle bend and flex, no doubt going to snap if used any longer. If you have a bag on the back of your carrier rack then it won't fit. Don't waste your money.

This is a huge padded seat, and as such, weighs a decent amount. It is not heavy for the amount of material, it's just a lot of material!Given the shape, it's also not suited for lots of pedalling. You want your sit bones supported and the rest left free to move. This is more like sitting in a chair and pedalling.Thus, given the size and shape, this would be great for the (not legal in this country) electric mopeds that claim to be e-bikes. You know, the ones you see the local landed gentry on with fat tyres, a throttle, and they never pedal. This'd be amazing for one of those.
