This retails at £39.99 & I have to say that it's being sold fairly as it'll remain in place & looking modern for some years!It's well made, reassuringly heavy and it looks very professional. My old living room lampshade/bulb aren't the best so when I put this new one up, I noticed lots more light from the bulb provided and because the light can pass through shade, my living room is so much more illuminated!The shade actually looks rather smart even when my light is turned off which is a result. It has a modern appearance to it now that I have a clear view of the neat looking LED bulb that is provided.The light shade arrives with all the necessary bits to attach it to your ceiling. It's pretty easy really. Just make sure your screw postioning is accurate and is in firm wood as this light is heavy. If you do this, you shouldn't have issues.

Lovely shade but not for me

This is a nice contemporary light fitting that is both different yet very attractive. Instead of having simply a hanging bulb with a shade or similar, this light fitting has a metal cage that surrounds the bulb acting like a shade, but without blocking the majority of the light. This can be handy if you have a larger room or one that requires stronger lighting.Easily fitted using the supplied components, ensuring of course that you are fitting it to a solid beam or similar once you have the fitting in place all you need to do is screw in an E27 fitting bulb of your choice, although the supplied one is pretty nice being as it is both a nice efficient LED bulb, but also slightly retro looking in design which works with this light.The finish of the 'cage' is really quite nice, without being over the top. The overall design is also one that looks modern, yet has enough style that it is still likely to look modern in many years to come unlike some other things out there. It is definitely an improvement on my old light fitting in the room I chose to put it.
