Pioneer DMH-1770NEX Double-DIN Digital Multimedia Receiver, Wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 6.8” Capacitive Touchscreen

I purchased a refurbished double din 1770nex. Within a week it started acting up. I wasn't going to contact the seller because I never have luck l. I never get helped. Ups driver stole my lug nuts I was having delivered n no one is helping so I wasn't going to even try. But I did n im glad. I only had to talk to one person for the whole return , emails n getting it back. Told him what it was doing n he said send it back n we'll see. I did n the day after they got it he called me told me we see the problem n swap you another one. Received it fast like 3 days n its been working perfectly. Love this seller. N I baught the Siriusxm antenna. Love it. Highly recommend

Works wonderfully. Little odd that the volume control is a via a button and not a knob but works great runs smooth.

I bought this unit as a renewed Amazon unit. The unit showed up and looks good, all cables and accessories included. When the unit was connected to the vehicle, the unit would not save paired bluetooth devices and ios devices will not connect to carplay. Ios devices connect as ipods only and no sound is heard when playing. After some research it was found that the unit had very old firmware and it was updated accordingly. After the update, the unit now saves paired bluetooth devices. The stereo shop charged an additional $185.00 to figure out the underlying issue with the firmware. Apple carplay however, will not work and we have tried 4 ios devices, a 7, SE,13, and 16 promax. We have also tried new cables with each phone and resetting the unit and devices many times. I traded this Pioneer unit from a chinese unit that worked flawlessly, but did not have rear or sub out rca’s. The pioneer unit sounds great but the software does not work and I cannot use carplay. Update, the unit now displays a white screen and has to be reset several times for it to boot up. Do not buy Amazon renewed. Amazon has yet to reach out despite all reviews being vetted by Amazon prior to publication..

Great head unit nice sound quality only thing is it’s not wireless so you have to connect your phone to it apple car play is a plus overall good value I installed on a 05 Honda odyssey

Bought this for my husband for Christmas. It works great in his 2003 Ford. He loves the radio just as much as the truck now and I don’t have to worry if he’s driving while holding his phone. He said it was easy to install.

Doesn’t fit for FJ cruiser

Installed in a 2009 F450 with the double din Metra kit for about a month now. Very easy to wire up and install and the fit was very clean. Tested with Android Auto and Apple Car Play and both work flawlessly. I do not have any troubles seeing the screen in daylight. The microphone for it picks up both passenger and driver clearly.

Bought to replace stock radio to my 2002 highlander, it turns on and shows a white screen with some colours. Very rarely works properly (probably 1 in 20 drives). I’ve tried every single troubleshooting option and none has worked. I spoke with pioneer support and they said it will need to be sent in and serviced, and that someone will contact me for more information- its been 3 weeks since our last email (haven't heard back at all, sent a follow up email each week, they replied quite quickly when i initially emailed) and their phone support does not work. Ive heard that this has happened to many people, and i’m overall very disappointed. Will be returning this product which is such a shame since I have wasted time on installing this and money for buying a compatible wiring harness (which i now cant return since its been adjusted to fit this screen/ my car). Would recommend saving up and buying a better one. I’ve heard from others that this is a reoccurring issue from the manufacturer’s end post covid.

This is actually the second option I tried to replace my factory head unit in my car. The first one (not from Pioneer) wouldn't charge my phone properly, had poor sound quality and I couldn't retain the factory USB port. This one works like a charm. It does charge my phone correctly, the sound quality is nice for its price and I could retain all the factory options with the proper adapter I already got. It even got my factory rear view camera right from the start, without having to mess with the settings.
