THR5A Mini Acoustic Guitar Amplifier with Cubase AI Production Software

This thing is amazing. It was smaller than I thought it would be, but that wasn’t the only thing that surprised me. The sound is impressive. For 10 watts, the depth and richness is very impressive. The amp only operates at 5 watts when on battery power but the sound is still great. I love the portability of being able to play on battery power. It’s very fun when using to practice or playing for a few friends. Also the Cubase software it comes with is amazing. It is very powerful and is a quality DAW for hat is very capable if you are recording. This amp does one thing and does it well - it’s the best amp for acoustics and if you want a natural sound that’s just louder, than this is for you.

I love this Yamaha amp. It sounds great. I use it primarily for practice with my GS mini but I’ve also used it for small get togethers. It has a convenient handle on top making it easy to carry and it just looks really cool. Bonus you can also use batteries to power it.

Gotta say this unit is UNIQUE, the way it models microphone's for Acoustic play is really 2nd to none. Along with true Mic modeling that is pretty true to the microphones emulated, it also has a great selection of other features like delay, reverb and compression and chorus. I have purchased other "portable amps" for acoustic play. They had larger speakers and might have been a little louder but there they lacked the ability to enhance the tone, they were just louder. Some I purchased for much more money, but wound up in a sound test within 5 minutes returning them. For a portable unit that really gives you the best acoustic modeling and tone, this unit cannot be beat, especially for its size.

It's not only for acoustics -- I use the THR5A as a home/practice amp for my electric guitar. Since I play only in a jazz style and hate overdrive distortion, the amp works really well. I don't use the recommended "EG Clean" setting; I use the "Condenser Mic" setting, which gives just the right tone for jazz guitar by helping to preserve the acoustic sonorities of my archtop while at the same time amplifying them. And when I play with a Stratocaster it gives roughly the same effect, creating the illusion that the Strat is a hollow-body -- great for guitaring with headphones while others are sleeping. (When you set it to "EG Clean" the "Blend" knob becomes a gain knob, so you can get a bit of overdrive that way. Works okay; I simply don't play in that style.) The Hall Reverb is excellent (though you don't get the variability you'd get with a pedal), and the Compression and Chorus effects are serviceable. I don't use the Delay, but it works well enough. Portability is another boon. I use it with rechargeable AA batteries and carry it to wherever I can find some peace in the house. My only complaint is that when I put the amp on the wood floor and play with a backing track, it sometimes distorts (perhaps with feedback from the floor vibrations?). Generally, you can't expect great sound from this amp at high volume. But then that's not what it's for. If you're looking for a case, try the Neewer Large Size SLR DSLR Camera and Video Bag with Shoulder Strap. Perfect fit, and much cheaper than the Yamaha case.

Remember this is 5 watts. However, its a very clean, sound isn't distorted, it's easy to transport, it has built in features like reverb, chorus etc. that do not require you to carry pedals. Its a parlor practice amp that will allow you to busk on the corner if necessary with it battery power feature. If you have AC power nearby it will work there too. Having it plugged in will not charge your batteries. It's great for travel, in the park, or assisting your writing music. You can also play mp3 music through it with the aux out. If you need to practice in silence use the headphone jack or send music out to a mixer in a bigger environment.

Quite impressed with this tiny "acoustic" amp! If you simply want to loop tracks you create, for practice, as I do, and amplify your studies with a bit of reverb or delay, this 12" long amp is a great buy! Well made, lovely sound, and with a number of acoustic settings and tone controls. You won't be performing with this, except for a few friends in a quiet context, or just practicing at home, but it is more than adequate for this, and provides sufficient range and a nice variety of tone colors. Haven't used the Cubase software yet, so I won't offer any thoughts there.

Fun little amp, sounds great, lots of settings. You can save money on a case for it by buying "Ultimaxx’s Professional Dynamic Large Soft Padded Camera Equipment Bag" on Amazon for under $20, fit is perfect and it is under $20.

I fot this for my Yamaha YEV-104 electric violin and it's pretty good for me because I do not intend to be playing outside, so it's plenty loud for my needs. I like the choice of amplifier types (condenser, tube, dynamic and nylon) and the effects are nice (Reverb, etc.) I wish it would be bluetooth, but I bought a cable to plug my iphone and play backing tracks, and it sound great. The sound with the headphone is also great. I was quite shocked when I first saw it, because it's so tiny, but it deliver great results. It's cute too, with the retro look and orange light inside. At first I was disapointed that it does not have an internal battery, but I when an internal battery fail, it's very hard to have a replacement, so I think I prefer it that way. I will buy rechargeable battery. It's so small that it's very portable. Should be cool to take anywhere. The warranty is only one year and it's made in China, so I hope it will last more than one year.

アコギYAMAHALL6で購入しました。生音でも十分な鳴りのギターなのですが、アンプに慣れてしまうと生音だけだと鳴りが弱く感じてしまいます。それほどアンプを通すといい音で尚且つ自分のギタースキルが向上した気分にさせてくれます。良い買い物でした。

Sounds, Einstellmöglichkeiten, Aussehen. Würde icj sofort wieder kaufen. Top!
