If you run out of color you still have to buy more. You can just set it to print in B&W BUT only IF you have a color ink well that is not empty. THEY MAKE you keep buying crap. + if you wait more than six months to print...all of the ink just dry's up. Gone. Never buy a cartridge printer. Go laser or go home. Pixma, Canon, garbage. AND look how much they charge you. OMG...get ****** canon

I was truly leery about ordering, because I've always used only Canon cartridges in my Canon MX490. The Canon cartridges are quite costly for what you get.I tried these on a whim and was so glad that I did. The cartridge yielded WELL over the stated amount of printed pages. I had no issue with installation, setting up, etc. The company actually sent me a couple follow-up emails inquiring if I liked their product or needed assistance.This was a remarkable price and a phenomenal product.Sadly, when I went to reorder, they are now unavailable. If they become available again, I would not hesitate to order a case this time. EXCELLENT product and value!

I have to say that I was unsure of getting a generic refill cartridge for my Canon printer. Mainly because the first time I did it, my printer head died, ended up getting a new printer. With this brand my printer works perfectly, and prints perfectly, so there are no problems at all. This is the second set I have used, both in my printer and my sister in-laws printer. I have actually bought a third set, so my printer has gone through two of them, and my in-law is on her third. No problems what so ever. So you do not need to be skeptical or hesitant about getting these cartridges for your Canon printer, because they work great! I am very satisfied.

I ordered the 2 pack of black ink. Tried to use it with a different brand color cartridge and printer would not recognize either one (the new CMTOP black nor the color cartridge that was working fine previously). Might work okay in conjunction with a CMTOP color cartridge; I'm not willing to spend another $30 to find out. As is, they are useless.Update: after posting negative review, seller contacted me and offered free replacement or refund. I have upgraded my rating based on the excellent response from the seller.

These work great. One of the two I received was leaking ink and when I opened the packed spilled ink. However, I wiped it off and it works fine. The seller politely and promptly offered to replace the troublesome cartridge and explained that it can be a shipping mishap. I'd be willing to buy again.

I have ordered this product several times already and I do recommend the product as the value is great. This last order however i had a problem with one of the cartridges. It kept saying it was uncompatible. The second cartridge however did work, I'm hoping this was just a small discrepancy as I do plan to reorder in the near future.

The other reviews said the black ink is “fine”, but they had issues with the color cartridge. So I bought the black ink. And it’s been perfectly acceptable. It worked without issues in the printer. For the basic printing we do, there is no problem of note. The condition of the cartridges? No issues there either. Of course the price is considerably cheaper than the Canon ink. I’d buy these again. That said, I don’t think I’m gonna try the color ink.

Update: Once I installed a color cartridge with this black ink one, my printer "recognized" it and worked.After I could find NOTHING in my printer manuel or online, I decided to try installing a color cartridge and then the printer worked just fine. I wish it would have lasted longer though. Customer service is to be commended. I was contacted about a refund being processed without my having requested one.
