This is a well built Cajon that I am sure will last decades. The snare toggle is a great design and makes this very versatile. I would have preferred a slightly deeper bass tone, but it still sounds great and there is a ton of play styles you can get out of this. I felt the price was just about perfect too for such a high quality instrument.

I wanted a cajon that would allow me to play with or without the snare. This fit the bill and it sounds fantastic. Great workmanship and the fit and finish are first class. Whether you like the sound of the snare or prefer to have the "snareless" sound that mimics a conga or bongo, you have the choice.

I love everything about this new cajon. Sounds wonderful with brushes or your hand having a ball with it I highly recommend it The snare is great and without it it does not rattle I am totally impressed by this

I have owned this cajon for over a year and do not recommend it. The wood it is constructed from is good and overall, it sounds nice. However, I've had problems with the throw off mechanism and the internal snare. About three months after I purchased it, the knob kept loosening and falling off. No matter how many times I tightened it back, it would eventually become loose again. I contacted Meinl and they replaced the cajon at no charge to me. After a few months of playing the replacement, whenever I tap the bass part of the cajon, the snare makes an annoying buzzing sound, like a rattle. Normally there is some snare sound when you hit the bass on this cajon. But this is not the normal sound, it is far louder and annoying.

Got it for my grandson for Christmas. The whole family took turns throughout Christmas day. Sounds great!

This is my first Cajon and I am very pleased. Sounds great and the whole family loves to play it. I would 100% buy again!!

I purchased the cheaper Meinl Cajon Drum which was top rated by Amazon. Then I saw this one with the adjustable snare. I thought the adjustment would make the snares tighter and looser to change the snap of the snare. The adjustment just turns the snares off and on - no in between. When off, the top sounds like the bottom so not sure why you need to turn off. When turned on, the snares are not tight against the back of the drum. I tried to fix with a rubber band to press them tighter, but no luck. The adjustment knob will spin further to make them tighter, but then reverts back to its groove to make them loose. No real way to tighten them. Anyway, the snare pop is much cleaner and more distinct on the less expensive cajon. Great idea, but execution needs some work on this one. Save some money and buy the less gadgety one.

Un acierto como regalo en Navidad para jóvenes y no tan jóvenes que disfruten con la música. Suena de maravilla como cajón flamenco u otros estilos de música. Fácil de transportar y de guardar en casa. Buena calidad y precio razonable, deberían regalar la bolsa para protegerlo y transportarlo y ya sería perfecto.

The fact that you can switch the snares off is brilliant and you get a completely different sounding instrument, 2 in 1!! XOXO

スナッピーのオンオフを切り替えれるモデル。 あまりこのモデル情報は調べても出てきませんが、 どちらも音質、音量共に使える音色。 軽めで爽やかな印象です。 作りもしっかりしていて安心できます。 切り替えのギミックについての耐久性はわかりませんが、単純な構造なので心配することは無さそうです。 デザインは好みによりますが、個人的には最高！ 価格は少し高めですが、音色を切り替えれるので2台買うよりは経済的にも場所取らなさ的にも大満足です。 ケースが付属していないのがただただ残念…。
