First, if you do audiobooks, you need to listen to it. If you like to immerse yourself in reading like I do (which means you read along while listening to the audiobook), then for sure do it with this series. Obviously, like book one, it’s taboo, dark, and spicy. So check your TWs. But TF?! The things I didn’t see coming?! Honestly, I thought I had stuff figured out, and was like I know where book two is going to go. HA! No, I didn’t. I had no clue! I mean, for real. This book opened Pandora’s box for me. Here I am using the credits I saved up on Audible for the other series in this world, and figuring out how much longer I need to wait to get them all lol. Anyways, the plot twists. Angst. Spice. Unhinged MMCs. Suspense. It is so good. I love the characters. Sooo much goodness. IDC what Malachi has done. IDC. I’m just saying. Lol. Perfection. This contemporary romance is book 2 in The Web of Silence Duet. This book has dark content from beginning to end. Make sure to check all your trigger warnings. The romance in this book is a forbidden romance. The book is very spicy with very descriptive spicy scenes. Malachi has lost her. The only thing he’s ever wanted in his life. Olivia. He will do whatever it takes to get her back. She has finally chosen him, and he doesn’t care how powerful his new enemies are. They can’t have what’s his. This is a great ending to the duet, and I didn’t want to put it down. Review: A complete Duology - This duology took me a minute to pick up and I am mad at myself it took so long. I let the step-sibiling relationship stopme from initially picking this up, but I fully enjoyed these books. Malachi is now one of my top MMCs. Yes, it's taboo but it is oh so good. This finished out the series with true closure. I look forward to the spinoff of these books

The Perfect Ending but the Start of Something GREAT!
❣️MUST read Little Stranger first!! 𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐄: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ 🎧Audiobook 🖤Taboo Romance 🕷️Adoptive Siblings 🖤Forbidden Romance 🕷️Unhinged/Possessive MMC 🖤Masked/Mute MMC 🕷️Mental Health Rep 🖤Kidnapping ⚠️ Check TW!! EVERYTHING Leigh Rivers writes is absolute gold!! The last 25% of this book had me giggling and kicking my feet! I’ll be real…Part One wasn’t my favorite. It was pieces of Little Stranger told from Malachi’s POV, which wasn’t as gripping for me, but it gave us something so important—his backstory. Seeing glimpses of his childhood made me connect with him on such a deep emotional level. It was heartbreaking and eye-opening to finally understand his desperation to be loved, fear of abandonment, and the way trauma convinced him he wasn’t worthy. My heart ached for him as a little boy. Then came Part Two…and man did it deliver!! Picking up right where Little Stranger left off, the plot gave me everything I needed. And when some of my all-time favorite characters from The Edge of Darkness trilogy showed up? That crossover gave me LIFE. 🥹 The spice was giving, but the storyline was even better—gripping, twisty, funny, and above all, healing with some incredible character growth. ⭐️ 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋𝐋 - This duet was freaking fantastic, and I will always recommend it! The ending wrapped everything up perfectly! I couldn’t have asked for more.

Was this one necessary?
Eh. I kind of feel like this whole book was unnecessary. Loved Little Stranger and it should have ended as a standalone. Both Olivia and Malachi’s personality changed in a negative way and the plot surrounding the arranged marriage had so many holes and was just unbelievable. I would tell others to stop after reading Little Stranger and leave feeling satisfied.

Malachi YES! Olivia NO!
Ok. Loved it for the most part. Malachi is awesome. Love him. BUT....why isn't Olivia's mom in jail for child sex trafficking. Her dad is a lawyer! He needs to grow some. Olivia is a doormat. Period. Sorry, I said it. How do you get out of an arranged marriage?? SAY NO. SIMPLE. I get the "sibling" kink, but saying it constantly was odd. Like, we get it, your siblings.

🛑SPOILERS AHEAD🛑 - This story fueled my dark soul 🖤
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 / 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ I devoured this book much like book one and I’m in love with Malachi! This book had more plot than book one but still not enough for me to give it 5⭐️. Don’t let that fool you though, I absolutely LOVED it! Like book one, book two is set up into two parts. Part one focuses on Malachi and his side of the story. Chapter one describes Malachi’s life before the Vize’s and it GUTTED me 😭 No wonder he is the way he is! Then the remainder of part one is basically everything that happened in book one but from Malachi’s side. Part two is where the “plot” begins. It’s nothing crazy but had me locked in anyways. Plus, I was kicking my feet and giggling when the Edge of Darkness trilogy characters showed up and tied the stories together. All my favorite men in one place, how could it get any better?! This story won’t be for everyone as it’s dark, taboo, super spicy and has little plot.. but it fueled my dark soul and I am so glad I read it 🖤

The perfect ending to the perfect duet 🖤
I’m so glad that we were able to get Malachis backstory and I feel a much deeper connect to him and have a better understanding for why he needs to feel loved and wanted, and why he has abandonment issues. His past is so heartbreaking and you can see why after he feels like he isn’t worthy of anyone’s love and affection. I cried so many times while reading this duet, (even over his spider IYKYK) Malachi is so complex and complicated but my love for him wild, despite all his faults. While normally I don’t like flash backs, I really didn’t mind traveling back to Little Stranger and seeing more of Malachis point of view. If you are wanting to pick up where Little Stranger left off, you do have to make it all the way to part two though. You also go get to meet some characters from Leigh’s trilogy which is “chefs kiss” of crossovers. Little Liar gives you spice, plot and character development as well as much needed healing and wrapping up by the end of it all. I really hope you enjoy it as much as I did
