Wow, this is my first one away from the Aerogarden world and I love it!
Wow, this is really a good system. I have 7 aerogardens and I think they did a good job. The differences are the pump water doesn’t go up but it moves in the bowl. The plastic is clearer so you can see the roots. And this can do 12 pods while the other guys only do 9 max in the bountys. The hood looks really neat, like it’s made out of wood so it adds to the organic appearance. I like how you can change the light from more blue for green growth, to a warmer light that works best for getting tomatoes to bloom.

Not too happy
This Hydroponics Growing System is a decent option for beginners, but it has some drawbacks that might be frustrating for more experienced growers. Easy to Set Up: The assembly was straightforward, and the instructions were clear. It doesn’t take up much space, making it a good choice for small kitchens or apartments. Good for Beginners: If you’re new to hydroponics, this system provides a simple way to get started with indoor growing. Pump & Water Circulation Issues: The built-in pump doesn’t seem very strong, and sometimes the water flow isn’t consistent, which can lead to uneven growth. Limited Space for Root Growth: The pods are quite small, so plants with larger root systems struggle. This setup is better suited for herbs rather than larger plants like tomatoes. Quality Concerns: Some plastic components feel a bit flimsy, and I worry about their long-term durability. Overall, it’s okay for small herbs or lettuce, but if you’re looking for a high-quality, long-lasting hydroponics system, you may want to consider other options. Update on Pump & Water Circulation Issues: The pump stopped working after couple days. So not a reliable product.

Quality countertop hydroponic system suitable for beginners
I've been using Dryades hydroponic products for a while now and quite pleased with the quality. I was delighted when Dryades came out with this 12 pod countertop hydroponic growing system. It has most of the features I prefer and is easy to set up. The water reservoir is solidly built using food safe ABS plastic. The translucent tank is great for monitoring root growth to see when to trim the roots. The reservoir deck has seed pod openings with recessed notches making it easier to remove the net grow baskets. The light is nice and bright with 2 light modes and 2 pre-programmed lighting cycles (16 or 22 hours). A long press will turn off the lights but not the pump. If you turn off the lights, they will automatically come back on after 10 hours. This also resets the 16/22 hour cycle. A 12/16 hour cycle is preferable. I have no plants that would benefit from 22 hours of light. The Dryades unit lighting cannot be programmed to come on at the same time each morning. The light distance from the grow deck ranges from 4 to 14". The maximum height will limit what you can grow so consider dwarf varieties of lettuce and micro tomatoes. To raise the light, grab the base of the pole with one hand and lift the light rod with the other. If you don't anchor the base, you may end up pulling the entire light out of the reservoir tank socket. As your plants grow and fill out, it becomes increasingly difficult to reach around the tank to grab the base of the light pole. I have my Dryades system set up on a cloth placemat so I can easily rotate the unit to access the back. The telescoping light is removeable which makes it so much easier to wash the reservoir tank which will require periodic cleaning (every 4 to 6 weeks). If I need to clean the tank or trim the plant roots, I lift the grow deck, pods and all, out and straddle it across a 6 qt Sterlite bin filled with water. To clean the pump and filter, you'll need a small phillips head screw driver to remove the cover. The water tank capacity is listed as 5.5L. If you fill the tank completely, your grow sponges will be bobbing like corks. I suggest going with 4 L (a little over a gallon) which allows about an inch between the water surface and grow deck. Your plants will also benefit from that air gap. Do not fill the tank with softened water or well water. I use Brita filtered water for all my hydroponic systems. Upgrading to a reverse osmosis water filtering system is on my wish list. The water pump is non-programmable and runs in 30 minute on-off cycles. It also has a separate power button. I use distilled water to make up the A & B fertilizers. The fill marks on the measuring cap are difficult to see so I marked the 5, 10 & 15 ml lines with a fine point Sharpie. Make sure the fertilizer crystals are fully dissolved before using. I also shake the bottles thoroughly before each use. If you run into trouble with your hydroponic garden, Reddit is an excellent resource. An example of an internet search - "what's wrong with my hydroponic lettuce reddit". You'll get multiple hits and excellent feedback. pump: DC 12V, 65 mA Hmax 60 cm Qmax 2.1 L/min

Avoid This Item-- It will quickly BREAK on you!
The product was great until it stopped working after 7 days! This was my first time using a hydroponic system and it was so pleasing to see sprouts within a matter of a few days. I read some comments mentioning the water pump breaking after 30 days. But since the good reviews far outweighed the bad, I decided to give this unit a try. Well...I couldn't even get 30 days out of this unit before EVERYTHING broke. Like, the unit WILL NOT TURN ON. At all. The outlet I was using is fine and every other electric unit functions properly when plugged in. It's really a shame because this maker has another, larger, and beautiful unit that I had been eyeing for when I truly get my green thumb going. Needless to say-- I won't purchase another thing from this company! I mean...just one week and the unit inexplicably breaks? I should have trusted the 1-star reviews and avoided this product altogether. May whomever reads this heed all warnings from the 1 and 2 star reviews.

Absolutely over the moon with this, I can’t believe how quickly my plants have been growing, in just a week and a half the plants are looking so healthy & so big, I bought it to start my seeds & it hasn’t disappointed, I’d 100% recommend this unit, it’s easy to set up & great value for money, although I’d recommend buying distilled water when purchasing as you’ll need it for the nutrients, you’ll need 200mls, 100mls for each bottle.

It does grow the plants well but it has attracted gnats which I think it should have a warning about and prevention measures included in the kit: gross! The timer was wrong at first and went off hours too soon.
