Astro Tools 7601 Cordless Hot Staple & Plastic Welding Repair Kit

Hands down one of the best plastic welders out there. This welder is super lightweight and heats up quickly and makes it easy to use. The led comes in handy to be able to see what you’re doing especially while working dimly lit areas. I must’ve dropped it at least twice while working with it and the durability of it is amazing. The staples heat up insanely fast and really shows how much power this little tool has. I repaired my grille and my door panel with it as well as some lose trim pieces that have broken overtime and the different ways you can use it to weld parts together is top notch. The versatility of the Astro plastic welder really makes it worth the price especially with everything it comes with.

Totally amazing ! Used it twice already. Seems like great quality and value.

Surprised how well it works given that it's cordless. Changes via a very small usb-c port and gets to temp very quickly about 3 seconds for a staple until it's red hot. For plastic welding it does take around 10-15 seconds of holding the power button but it's not very long. Wish the led light stayed on for longer then holding the power button down. It does take a little bit of time to melt the plastic rods, not sure if it's because it's battery powered or just what is normal. Used it to seal a hole around 1/2 wide 2 inches long using a PE rod in an outside trashcan lid, and stapled a few hard plastics with shocking good results so far. Make sure you use good quality snips to cut the ends of the staples when your done, they are heavy duty so the first snips I grabbed from the 70s weren't sharp enough and required a lot of force to cut (which is good) . This is my new favorite tool.

Never tried plastic welding but this kit is easy to use and is perfect to learn on. Plenty of staples and supplies, heats up fast, and the case keeps it all organized.

Perfect! I do auto body repair and this does the job I need done. Mich easier than using one that plugs in.

Amazing tool for a great price

I've had a plastic welder before, and it cost me a few hundred 15 years ago. This thing is small, compact and super fast. It heats the staples in just seconds and it worked! It saved me from having to get a new fender trim. I was able to staple the mounts back on and then reinforce them with the plastic welder adapter. I was shocked how fast and well it worked. Definitely a must have for the tool box.

Great kit to repair and body plastics for auto or motorcycle. Was able to repair a fairing that is no longer available.
