Great box cutter. Safe very little chance of cutting yourself by accident. Feels good as it easily cuts through any cardboard box. Sam’s Club ships with giant boxes I like using the BoxBlayde on them because it’s much easier than using a utility knife. Also my utility knife blades will fit in my BoxBlayde. You can tell when you put this in your hand that it’s well built and not cheap. This is a high quality box cutter. If you have a lot of boxes to break down this is going to help you get it done faster.

This is a pretty impressive one trick pony tool! It easily and quickly cuts cardboard boxes! The tool is comfortable to hold and slides through boxes with ease! While I don’t cut tons of cardboard boxes, I rent out a couple of my rooms and people are always moving in and have plenty of boxes - this will be of great help! I like that it uses standard razor blades so I don’t have to hunt for replacements. It came with a serrated blade already installed, and it works great! I love that there is a safety covering to prevent injury as well! Overall, this is a great tool for cutting boxes fast and easily!

Pros: - Cuts cardboard fairly rapidly. Cons: - Angle is picky. You have to align it just right or it won't cut. It should be designed to allow a wider entry angle. - Fairly loud. Not a big deal, but it's unnecessarily loud. - Kind of expensive for what it does. I'd expect a more premium product for the price. That said, I am keeping it, and it does making dealing with Amazon boxes a lot easier. I think they have room for improvement on the design.

It works better than I expected it to and the blades last longer than I expected. There is a bit of a learning curve - how to hold it against the cardboard [sounds silly, I know] and how fast you pull. Also you want to let it spool all the way up [takes about a half second] before you actually start cutting. I've found that most times it works better if I am pulling two pieces through at once [ such as a box folded over] as it fits the opening better and I don't have to worry as much about technique. Cutting 'with the grain' of the cardboard is VERY easy. Cutting against it is a bit more work but still works well. I don't know what the duty cycle is and I don't want to wear it out - but I had a LOT of boxes to break down from Christmas gifts - probably 50 boxes - and I broke them all down into itty bitty squares over the course 3 sessions. The tool didn't feel like it was giving out, I just didn't want to risk it. Ultimately time will tell if it lasts but so far my initial impressions are very good. It is a bit expensive for what it is but if you have to break down a lot of boxes on a regular basis I'd say it's worth it.

This is a decent product, that does what it claims. It’s obviously cheaply made in China. My biggest problem is the “safety plug”. You have to insert it into the charger port and it prevents the blade from activating when you have to open it up. There is no world where this doesn’t get lost immediately and it’s kind of important if you don’t want to cut off your fingers. Would it have killed you to put a lanyard on it? Or even better, how about a safety switch instead like a Dewalt grinder. The safety plug is an extremely poor product decision.
