I bought this for my new iPhone 16 Pro Max. Main reason: can use accessories such as handle and filter adapter to make my shooting easy. What I love about the case 1. Very strong magnetic mount. This is a nice surprise. It is much stronger than iphone's build in magsafe mount. The benefit is when I mag mount the phone to video cage, it is much more stable 2. Steady your shooting in horizontal position. I don't like the new iPhone camera control button. It is really difficult to press if you hold the phone in one hand and shoot horizontally. The handle is a big help. 3. If you use car dash mount to hold the phone, the handle can remain attached without getting in the way. You can also easily remove the handle with one click. What I think it can improve? Include a 67 mm filter adapter ring. Currently you will need to buy it separately but it is not expensive.

Works great as a photography case for my 16 Pro Max when I added on the 17mm threaded adapter plate, however the removable grip feels a little awkward to hold when not attaching it to a tripod which is why I deducted a star.

Honestly I really wanted to like this case. It had everything I needed for a decent price but when I tried to use the t-mount filter adapter it leaves space between the lens and the camera lens that lets light in. Even worse the included handle basically just a cheap piece of plastic (no camera button) and not really that comfortable to hold the phone with. Plus it makes it difficult to reach and use the camera button properly. Considering how tight of a cutout the camera button has. It is it doesn't offer enough room for your finger to properly take a picture without shaking the phone and depending on how you're holding the phone especially with the included handle can be difficult to properly use the camera button sometimes. Also the case feels uncomfortable in the hand considering it has somewhat sharp corners instead of rounded like my normal case, that kind of dig into your hand as you hold it. Doesn't feel as comfortable as my other case I purchased. Plus as you're taking video or pictures it does get quite hot not sure if that's considering the material and you just feel the heat more but I know I feel it more when I use this case then my normal case. Unfortunately I will be returning and purchasing from a different company. I do have to say the magnets for the magsafe are very strong when combined with a magsafe handle. Definitely disappointing overall...

As usual, small rig products are good but I have a complain about asking users to buy ton of other mounts to get this to work as intended. Why not just include with the case and name the price?

I ordered the entire phone cage kit, which includes this case and its accessories, and loved it so much that I ordered the stand alone case to use with my DJI gimbal, along with my Smallrig Anamorphic lenses, which are fully compatible with this item’s t-mount attachment.

Buena calidad y ajuste. La uso con el adaptador de Smallrig para filtros imantados y va de lujo. El imán del MagSafe también va perfecto. La empuñadura es cómoda y viene con la rosca para poner el móvil en un trípode.

Kit complet pour améliorer la prise en main de l’iPhone 16 pro Max en mode photo. La coque est fine et compatible Mag Safe. Elle protège très bien les optiques. La poignée est géniale pour une prise en main à l’horizontal. Et le nouveau bouton photo est plus accessible et utilisable d’une main. Il y a un pas de vis pour le monter sur un trépied. Le support objectif permet de monter des accessoires de la même marque. Je suis très agréablement surprise par cet ensemble.

Also erstmal: Ich liebe SmallRig. Diese Firma ist für mich die absolute Nummer eins, wenn es um Film- und Kameraequipment geht. Alles, was sie produzieren, ist für mich durchdacht, hochwertig und absolut verlässlich – sie spielen für mich klar in der 1-Liga. Nun zur Hülle, schon beim Auspacken merkt man, dass SmallRig keine halben Sachen macht. Die Verpackung ist von innen genauso ansprechend wie das Hülle selbst – wirklich durchdacht und wertig. Das macht einfach Freude beim Auspacken und gibt direkt einen hochwertigen Eindruck. Der mitgelieferte Handgriff ist für mich das Highlight dieses Sets. Er lässt sich mit einem roten Verschlussmechanismus sicher am iPhone befestigen, was nicht nur gut aussieht, sondern auch extrem gut hält. Selbst wenn ich das Setup schwenke oder unterwegs bin, sitzt alles stabil. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist der integrierte Anschluss unten am Handgriff. Damit lässt sich das iPhone problemlos auf ein Stativ oder anderes Zubehör montieren. Das ist für mich, der gerne mal kreativ unterwegs ist, ein absoluter Mehrwert. Ach ja, und das Beste: Trotz Handgriff bleibt das iPhone voll funktionsfähig – Laden über MagSafe und der USB-C Anschluss sind weiterhin problemlos nutzbar. Kommen wir zur Hülle selbst, die mich ehrlich gesagt so überzeugt hat, dass sie inzwischen zu meiner Daily-Hülle geworden ist. Sie sieht nicht nur gut aus, sondern fühlt sich durch die lederartige Rückseite auch hochwertig an. Besonders gefällt mir, dass die Kameralinsen durch die Umrandung optimal geschützt sind. Das iPhone sitzt sehr fest und sicher in der Hülle, was ich schon testen „durfte“, nachdem es mir leider ein-, zweimal heruntergefallen ist. Aber weder an der Hülle noch am iPhone sind Spuren davon zu sehen. Eine echte Überraschung war für mich die Stärke des MagSafe-Magneten. Gefühlt ist er sogar stärker als in der originalen Apple-Hülle, was ich persönlich super finde. Natürlich kann ich das nicht nachmessen, aber gerade bei Zubehör wie Ladegeräten merkt man diesen Unterschied deutlich. Alles sitzt einfach sicher, ohne zu verrutschen. SmallRig hat mit diesem Set wirklich ein Produkt geschaffen, das nicht nur durch Funktionalität, sondern auch durch Qualität und Design überzeugt. Vom durchdachten Handgriff bis zur robusten, stylischen Hülle passt hier einfach alles. Ich kann dieses Set wirklich jedem empfehlen, der sein iPhone 16 Pro für kreative Projekte nutzt oder einfach auf hochwertige Accessoires steht. SmallRig hat es wieder einmal geschafft, meine Erwartungen nicht nur zu erfüllen, sondern zu übertreffen.
