One heck of a great Edc work knife for your coinz
The harbor master is an excellent design with excellent build quality for an excellent price. In the budget knife world of today we don't have a place for models that offer anything less than excellence as it's almost unreal the quality and performance you can get in today's knife market for 30 to 50 dollars. The action had some stiffness out the box but within 10 to 15 open and closing it was smoothed out and the action excellent with rock solid lock up and no blade play or lock rock. The leaf shape blade is imo one of the best blade shapes for EDC that you can get just for the fact that it does everything good. You have 3mm blade stock that comes down to around 18-20 thousandths of an inch behind the edge so it's going to pass thru materials nicely and slice very well with that cutting geometry yet it's not to thin that you have to baby it and is about the perfect geometry for an Edc knife in the 3 to 3.5 inch blade length range. 704 is using very grippy G10 so it really locks in the hand, the crossbar locks have stiffer omega springs so they lock up nice and tight and you won't have a failure of the lock unless you are really doing something wild. Civivi is the company that is OEMing these knives for them I'm 99% sure, the D2 is done excellent, sharpens and performs exactly like Civivi/Sencut D2 does and that's a good thing as they have gotten the heat treat dialed in quite well for production knives in D2 and you get a lot of performance for very little money. These are excellent deals at the normal price of 32 dollars but when they go on sale at 19.99 they are an unreal value for your dollars. They are build like a tank and clearly designed to be tuff work knives for blue collar folk with great fit and finish for the money. This knife or any of the 704 gear knives at the sale price of 19.99 is pretty much impossible to beat for the quality and performance of knife you get per dollar, even at their normal prices they are great values but at the sale prices you really cant get more for your money. The Urban ranger V2 is a real banger, the Hornet is a real banger and the Harbor master is a super banger of a budget priced Edc work knife. Dont expect no super light weight fidget toy like knife when you buy these, expect a stoutly built user knife that is ready to work for you. 704 gear is killing it with these designs at the prices they offer them at. As someone that is very in to pocket knives from budget to ultra premium I can 100% say that the value in these knives is extremely high. I don't care about the fidget factor of knives, I only care about cutting performance/steel performance, good action with solid lock up and comfortable in hand and that's exactly what these knives provide at a crazy good price.

Quality materials for a very fair price!
A bit stiff out of the box, but with use and minor pivot adjustments, this knife works better than some of my $50 or $60 knives did out of the box! Quality materials, and substantial sharpness out of box! Delivered quickly! Not disappointed as a knife collector!

How is this thing only $20 bucks!!
Initial impressions. If I'm being honest, I picked this thing up cuz it was $20 bucks and I've watched 704 on YouTube for a while now. So I had to try it. I have knives of all different blade steels, shapes, sizes, and prices. but I'm a sucker for D2! For $20 bucks I wasn't expecting much. It's $20 bucks! But Surprise! Surprise! Feels just as good as some $60 and $80 knives i own. Okay The cons before the pros. It's a little stiff. But not bad! I got a Benchmade Mini Osborne that stiffer than this. It came covered in oil. Which isn't a bad thing during shipping and everything when when you really think about. It does seem like there's a lot of oil between the frame and the G10 scales. And that's being nitpicky. But if those are the only cons for a $20 dollar knife. What am I complaining about? Pros! Mine came in great condition! The crossbar studs stick out more than any other knife I own which is great especially cuz I wear work gloves all day, And the studs aren't super aggressive and sharp. so being able to operate it is not going to be a problem. Great grip texture on the G10. Pocket clip seems to work fine. I don't feel any hot spots. It's got a heavy duty feel to it, feels durable and strong! Thumb studs are in the perfect spot for deployment. No blade play up, down or side to side. My centering came fine. All in all for $20 It's totally worth it! I've spent more and got a lot less. Best way to tell how I feel about it, If I lost it, I'd buy another one. If you're looking for great work knife/beater knife one you're not going to just take out fondle and put back in your drawer, and you're actually looking to use it. FULL SEND IT!!! Probably the best $20 bucks I've spent in a long time. If I had to bet I would say the OEM totally feels like WE/CIVIVI/SENCUT. People have compared it to a CIVIVI Qubit on steroids. Honestly I feel the Qubit feels slick and dainty. This thing is just as slicey. And feels way more robust. Again you could spend a lot more and get a lot less. Stop reading the reviews and just full send it!!

Decent knife, appreciate the bottle opener feature
A decent crossbar-locking knife. I appreciate the bottle opener feature. The mechanism is not as smoothly operating as some others in my collection, but it's not bad. Fit and finish are commensurate with the price. I'd give it a solid B.

Your Pocket-Sized First Mate
The 704 Gear Harbor Master isn’t just a pocket knife—it’s the trusty sidekick you never knew you needed. With a 3” leaf-shaped D2 steel blade, this thing is ready to cut, slice, and stab through life’s everyday challenges, whether it’s opening stubborn packaging or defending your honor against a rogue bagel. D2 steel means it holds an edge longer than your buddy holds grudges, so you won’t be sharpening it every five minutes. The crossbar lock is smooth and satisfying—kind of like the first sip of beer after a long day. It keeps the blade locked up tighter than your grandma’s cookie jar, so you don’t have to worry about accidental closures (because surprise finger cuts are never fun). The G10 handle gives you a solid grip, even if your hands are sweaty from doing manly things like grilling or assembling IKEA furniture. Compact, durable, and designed for action, the Harbor Master is as reliable as a good dog and almost as loyal. It’s the kind of knife that makes you feel prepared—even if the most dangerous thing you face is a tough piece of duct tape. Final Verdict: 8.8/10 – A solid EDC knife that’s sharp, smooth, and tougher than it looks. A true first mate for your pocket fleet!
