Great pool cover worth the price! Thick and without holes which keeps debris out and heat in. Use it on our 12 x 30 pool. Morning temperature today was 66 degrees and pool was at 83 degrees with cover on. Our old cover never came close to insulating this well. Cover is a bit larger than the size we ordered which I like because you can either cut to size or just tuck up around edges to better prevent debris from entering. Going to try and save this cover at the end of this pool season as I think it is well made enough to last a few.

I’m glad I caught this deal, great value for the money. 12 mil is pretty thick and the quality is superior. I am very pleased. I realized that if the thickness isn’t listed it means it’s thin. I bought this one to replace the thin bubble wrap with I received in my last order. A solar cover is definitely a have to have when you can’t afford a heater or solar panels. Raises the water temp enough where you don’t need to adjust to cold water. Another great thing about a cover is that it will help keep debris out of your pool. Our pool is a few feet from a tree and it throws spinners like crazy. It’s a pretty blue that looks so nice when on. I didn’t experience any stickiness. As far as ease of installation, one person is possible but two is better. Because it’s so thick, it makes it heavier to put on especially if you throw it on the ground. My other issue is the size. I ordered the 15’ but is actually 16’. If I cut it down it will be more manageable. Sometimes we’ll even cut them into 2 halves. If you want quality, I highly recommend this.

Living in Wisconsin, we do everything we can to extend our pool day/season. This 12 mil solar blanket does the job, often raising the pool temp 3 - 5 degrees in a matter of hours. *Of course, this is a smaller pool, so it may not have as much of an effect on a larger volume of water.) I do use a few clamps around the pool on gusty days so it stays in place (I never cut it down to the pool size, I use the extra to clip it to the upper pool edge). I heard many complaints about the thinner ones, so we opted for the thicker 12 mil, and I'm glad we did, as it is durable. We roll it up nearly everyday, and not a single bubble has burst on it, despite manhandling it into a pool side rack. Rarely, it will get a tiny bit of algae in small spots, so I just put some Shock on a sponge and clean it off. End of year, we hosed it off, let it dry, rolled and folded it, and stored in a lawn/leaf bag.

After two years of faithful use, our previous solar pool cover started to get limp and the corners were starting to sink into the pool. This cover is actually much better quality than what I had previously. The plastic is thick and stiff. It floats nicely, and it is quite heavy when you fold it up. These covers are a pain in the neck to take on/off, but we have a heated pool. These keep the heat in and prevent evaporation. We have had our pool heater on since October here in NE Florida. With this cover, I have not had to add water to the pool in over a month, and our pool heater runs only for about an 1 hour each day. This is a must have to keep your pool warm and prevent evaporation in the cooler months here in the South.
