USB Computer Temperature Monitor (TM-STD40)

This device is incredible. Works better than advertised. Clear concise environment temperature monitoring over time that is easy to install & works like a charm. It has a way to test the email warning configuration that is wonderful. Sends email over/under temp alerts and status notifications very well. I purchased this to monitor the room temperature of my server closet in the event of AC failure and it does a terrific job. You won't be sorry purchasing this device

Now on my second unit, and the same issue is occuring, it does read and send the emails/sms like i want it too, however it keeps crashing whatever PC i put it in, I'm using it in an IT closet, if i put it on a VM pc it pauses the VM, if i put it on a real PC it crashes it. thought with all the positive reviews i just got a bad unit but 2 in tells me more. I can't in confidence use this device to protect my servers if it is always off.

it works ok, but dose the job.

It works well, but getting the SMTP function to work is very frustrating. Its clearly not designed to work on servers.limits is usefulness. It can be set to report temps to the event log, and if you are using an RMM smart enough, you can set up alerting based on those entries.

I am a long time customer of Tempalert. We use the device in our RV to alert us when temperatures rise when our dogis inside and we are away. The device works fine. We used to be able to activate and deactivate the device online. This savedus on monthly charges and did not send us false alerts when we were not traveling. Now, not only can I not deactivate or activate online, I cannot speak to anyone by telephone. All I get is an acknowledgement that I have contacted customer service and someone will contact me soon. To say I am angry about this is, is a gross understatement.....

Alerts and stats are very useful.Works very well and easy to get running.

After warranty expired product failed. 1year warranty not enough.

Sometimes when there is a small power interruption the A/C in my server room kicks off and doesn't come back on. When this happens the servers heat up at a very rapid rate and before I bought this sensor I had no way of knowing there was a problem and have had several occasions where I came into work to find an extremely hot room with server fans running at full speed. Being a small company we couldn't afford a fancy monitor but I knew I had to use something or possibly come in to work one day with a room full of dead servers. I searched around for affordable solutions and came across this inexpensive little monitor. The installation was very quick and easy and the very first week I used it I received email and text notifications that the room was heating up. This allowed me to come into work and restart the A/C before any damage was done to the equipment. I can finally rest easily at night and on the weekends when storms are in the area, knowing that if something were to happen I would know about it in time to save the day (and my job).
