Walabot DIY Plus - Advanced wall scanner, stud finder - For Android Smartphones - DY2PBCGL01

This is just as easy to use as the YouTube videos indicate. I have used this a few times now on stud walls and found it to be very accurate in both detecting the studs and pipes/cables within the walls. I haven’t tried it on lath & plaster walls or concrete yet, but don’t see why it wouldn’t work just as well on those. I would definitely recommend it.Update: - had some squeaky chipboard flooring so tried this out to try and find the floor joists below the 22mm chipboard and it worked. Screwed through straight in to the joists. No more squeaky floors.

I was really looking forward to getting this device as I thought it would be the answer to all my DIY prayers,but I could not get my phone to recognise this device at all. I did get it working on my wife's phone but it didn't see any wires anywhere around any of my light switches or plug sockets so not much use to me if its unable to tell me where the cables are like it was supposed too. Plus after about a minute it was asking to recalibrate again which means spinning it around in a circle for about 20 seconds. I can't see how this device would save any time as It seems unable to do what it is supposed to. Seems more money was spent on marketing and not enough on making sure it works.

It's very good, but will not work on my new phone

This scanner was a present for my daughter who has just moved house and wanted to know where she could hang pictures etc... I was given a brief demonstration and it worked, in fact it worked too well showing wooden battens I didn't know were there. As far as I am concerned the only drawback is that before you start scanning you have to acclimatise the machine to the section of wall where you want to scan. If you move to the other end of a long wall, unless you keep the scanner in contact with the wall (difficult round windows) it has to be acclimatised again.

Don't see the accuracy advertised. Overall disappointed, not bad enough for a refund but I was considering it.

ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS AND RUBBISH !!!! I thourt this would be all singing and dancing bit of kit but boy was I wrong !! On a new build house I new a good idea of where the wires were.It couldn't even detect the plug sockets not alone the wires behind the wall !!! So I sent it straight back as Terrible for £80And I recalibrated it several times and still the same outcome.

The walabot diy plus does not work with Android phone HUAWEI LYO-L01 software version 5.2 software has to be version 6 and above useless with out it
