When I got this it was a bit bigger than I was thinking; however, I don't know why I was thinking that because I wanted it to be a full-sized toilet, which it is. My main reason for getting it was for extended camping, or maybe as an emergency backup. I also have an aging family member that might need home care soon, so I can always pivot and use it for that purpose as well. It is sturdy. It is easy to put together. Although it assembles into a full-sized toilet, it does break down to a very reasonable size; it easily fits in a car with other gear, or it would fold away easily in a small closet or cabinet. Super happy to have around, even though it seems like a uncommon item.

I ordered this for a family member to use for an extended stay/visit. It was easy to put together, easy to place behind a screen in a spare room, and easy to clean. We added liners with gel pads, and !those help with odor and cleanliness.I would recommend this commode if you have a family member that cannot ambulate to a bathroom, is recovering from surgery or on bed rest. It’s a highly useful item.The commode was easy to assemble and there are no issues to report after several weeks.

This chair appears to be well made and easily folds down for easy storage and transport - which is great, because we will get a lot of use out of this as part of our camping gear! This is the perfect solution for if you need facilities for folks who would have difficulty in the woods, but also want to go outside of campgrounds! Just pack along some absorbent liners and some extra bags, and it makes disposal super easy as well! This is our go to option for anytime we are camping far away from bathroom facilities, and have kiddos or elderly family with us - the handles are very helpful. It's also easy to set up inside of a privacy blind or behind a tarp. I would absolutely recommend this for folks who are needing a toilet alternative!

We live in a rural area and depend upon a septic tank and all the associated systems for our sewage purposes. A few years ago we installed a new leech field and have done other upgrades to the system. We thought we were all set. But we weren't. The weather has changed a lot in recent years. In the spring we have been getting so much rain that our back yard has gotten nearly submerged. The ground becomes so saturated the excess water has nowhere to go. One factor is geology, the soil here was deposited millions of years ago by a glacier and this whole area has poor drainage. But the big increase in rains due to the rapidly changing climate is the main factor.The past several years our leech field has gotten overwhelmed by water to the point where we cannot put any additional water into our system. No showers, no flushing of toilets. Not a good situation. This can happen over a 48 hour period. It can take that long for the system to recover and start draining again.We ordered this portable commode to have as a back up for when this occurs. We put it together and tried it out. It seems fairly sturdy, it is easy to clean, hopefully we won't be using it much but when we do need it we'll have it available.And perhaps when we get older it will be useful if we are having mobility issues and cannot use the bathroom facilities as we are accustomed to doing. It is always good to have a back up plan. In this case we now do.

Very easy to put together, and quite sturdy. Commode pail is quite ample too! But its not really foldable, despite the label, at least not without removing the front bar. That is not hard to do, and it does then fold. The other problem is that it does not slide far enough back to fit over my current toilet, despite an elongated basin. It would fit over the toilet if the current toilet seat were removed, and this commode chair used permanently. Or it can be used independently with the pail. So, useful as a separate bedside commode, or as a semi-permanent replacement after removing the seat and cover from the current toilet.

I got this to serve double duty. I want to use it camping inside of a small privacy tent. But my husband is also likely to need this soon because of his declining health and mental capacity. I don't think he's quite ready yet, even though he has had a couple of accidents, but it won't be long. This is sturdy and perfect.

I got this folding portable toilet mainly for camping, for which it will work perfectly, however we are remodeling our daughter's bathroom, planning to remove the old toilet and bathtub so we can make any repairs before laying the new floor. It could take some time, so having this portable toilet will make life easier until we get her new permanent toilet installed. I already bought some of the bags to use for collecting and solidifying the waste, so it will be easy to keep clean. Very happy with the strength of the steel frame, the ease of assembly/disassembly, and the stability the rubber feet give. Excellent product!
