good product, does the job well but a little pricey. Moss dies and gets pushed out by the growing grass.

This stuff actually works. I have a shaded backyard and lots of moss mixed in with sparse grass and after applying this and waiting a week, the moss turned black and the existing grass greened up. Once the moss turns black it may be best to rake it up to the extent possible and then top-dress and re-seed as appropriate. In summary, this actually works and will kill moss and green your lawn at the same time, but you will probably want to rake up the dead moss, which takes a bit of effort, but the fertilizer will do its part.

This worked well for me, but my situation was not typical. I had an ongoing issue with moss, mostly because much of the yard was very shady. I had several large trees removed from the yard in late summer which allowed a great deal more light to reach the problem areas of the lawn. But in the early spring, the moss was still growing extremely well. My hope was that by reducing or eliminating the moss and then fertilizing the lawn, the (northern) grasses would be able to fill in the mossy patches to a large degree. My timing was very fortunate concerning rainfall, and a week after application, nearly all of the moss was yellow or brown. Two weeks after application, the grasses were growing extremely well and thickening up. Now, 6 weeks later, it looks like a different lawn, very thick and green, and with very little remaining moss. It may be that the increased sunlight I provided would have reduced much of the moss all by itself. I am quite certain that without removing the trees this product would still have a desirable effect on the moss; but I'm also quite certain that in deep shade, the moss would return. Establishing grass cultivars that are ideally suited to deep shade should be able to reduce that effect. I would use the product again without hesitation. It cost little more than plain fertilizer, and definitely hit the moss where it hurts. I did not rake, scarify, or otherwise attack the moss. I just left it to wither and thin naturally, which it did quickly (2-3 weeks). Delivery was super fast. I received it the second day after placing my order, using standard (free) shipping.

I live in the north east and I’ve used the stuff to help with the moss, but I did not expect how well it made my lawn fill out every time I’ve applied it. I’ve used it in spring, summer and just now and every time it brings my lawn back to the greenest, most lush I’ve ever had. I didn’t aerate I didn’t over seed or anything !!! This stuff works so well on my Kentucky blue lawn in Massachusetts. I apply it when the lawn is moist in the morning and give it a few days to do it thing then water the absolute heck out of my lawn and it comes back better than ever. I’ll get questions about my lawn every time I talk to a Neighbor. Wish it wasn’t so expensive but it’s totally worth it. I haven’t even applied any weed killer. It fills the grass in so densely that weeds don’t have any space to take off!

I usually layout this stuff 2 to 3 times a year in the summer to help kill the weeds, kill the moss, and fill in the grass thicker. It works very well and it’s easy to use with a spreader. I was very skeptical at first about using products like this, but after the first time I used it I could tell it was something I was going to use regularly a few times each summer.
