Read the directions first! This flashlight has two power switches. At first glance I thought it was defective. After glancing at the user manual the operation of the two switches was clear. This is a Very good flashlight. Size to brightness and beam throw is surprisingly good. In turbo mode it throws a usable beam over 100+ feet and lights street signs a block away. Standard lighting is 3 step moon, medium and high.All are good for specific tasks. The main drawback is that turbo mode lasts 1 to 1 1/2 minutes and the light gets hot too. For it's size and function this is a great flashlight!

It works far more effectively and efficiently than most. FACTs: Its monetary value, brightness, charging capability, battery life, compact size, versatility and its rugged durablity ... collectively, makes this ACEBEAM TAC 2AA EDC a must have. WHY? The flashlight stays / remains on that setting each time you power it ON and OFF ... even while it's in Standby Mode. 2. The adjustment capabilities of this TAC light seemlessly converts from a top quality flashlight into a Super Torch light when you rapidly double click the light sequence button. This function is acheived when the flashlight is in Standby. Tripple clicks engages the Torch light to flash. QUESTION: Did someone say ... Bright, or ... BRIGHTER? ALSO NOTE: When the Torch light is on ... The tip of the TAC light gets HOT! real fast! However, It equally cools rapidly when you disengage the function. 3. With the Amber and the Clear/off White silicone caps that comes in the package ... ACEBEAM TAC 2AA EDC transforms into an emergency becon for the unexpected stranded in the dark, on a lonesome roadway, waiting for a tow truck, given the dreaded car failure ... or while you're out hiking the trails. You go off track and somehow, you end up getting lost in the woods. Knowing this, you need to track back, but its late night and it's dark. Here's another true to life experience ... Your vessel has lost power on the open seas, thus leaving you isolated in the pitch black, far away from other mariners. THE LOOK, THE FUNCTION and THE FEEL: The design is streamlined impressive, having the Power button center placed at the bottom of the cylindrical frame. This design functionality also, allows you to securely stand the flashlight upright, hands free, as you power through various tasks when using the Amber or the off White silicone caps to spread the illumination throughout your desired area. Likewise, the placement of the Light Sequence Mode / Standby button compliments the impressive ergonomics of the grippy frame. In additon to, the adjustable pocket clip which also clips to your baseball cap, when it's needed, makes EDCing this TAC light, paper weight ... Furthermore, this Matt blue TAC light is my standout favorite. Which concludes for me ... My DISLIKEs: Unfortunately ... "I have NONE."

Wow! this is an amazing product for the price. Unbeatable. The clip, the size, the battery charges out of flashlight, quality components, long throw. Brighter than my headlights and shine farther. Great for finding a street sign or address. Almost too bright !

I bought this flashlight in October 2025 and so far it has been very useful at work. I did encounter the problem more than once where the flashlight wouldn't turn on. But then I put it on the charger and it worked again. It does get hot if you have the brightest setting, but I don't use it on that particular setting for a long time. Overall, I really like how compact it is and the blue is beautiful! I dedicated a star for the mishap of it not working more than once and for the battery taking awhile to fully charge. Unsure if the $25 price tag is worth it for this EDC flashlight. But for my needs, it gets the job done and I've gotten compliments on it!

Great light. Works off rechargeable (USB-C) battery or 2 AA alkaline or lithium in a pinch. Extra rechargeable batteries are available from acebeam.com for very reasonable price as well. Tail switch allows for silent press for full power light. Click tail switch and then you can move between light power options with side switch. Length of light gives good purchase vs some handy but much smaller lights. That said the light is barely noticeable in your pocket except occasionally sitting. The full power initial setting is VERY bright…great if carrying for possible defensive use or to light up big space. It is too much for many ordinary tasks so expect to use that side switch to turn it down for those applications. CONS: have to remove battery to charge it. The battery does not charge quickly so my suggestion is to get an extra from ace beam. External charging ports or magnetic conductive charging from other brands will spoil you. Not a perfect light but if the minor charging issue doesn’t bother you and you want something just a little easier to hang onto than the small lights (however because no one holds flashlights in their mouth while working on something…this light is a mouthful vs something like a baton III or IV)…this is a very good light for the price. I’ve carried it EDC for weeks with complete confidence.

I can honestly say the ACEBEAM TAC 2AA EDC Tactical Dual Modes Flashlight is one of the best flashlights I’ve ever owned. Whether I needed it for quick tasks around the house or more demanding outdoor use, it never let me down. I even bought my dad one and he loves it as well. Unfortunately, I lost mine recently, and I genuinely feel the absence. It’s one of those tools you don’t realize you rely on so much until it’s gone. I’ve used other flashlights, but this one set a high standard that’s hard to match. If you’re looking for a dependable, high-performance everyday carry flashlight, this is easily one of the best I’ve ever used—and I’ll definitely be replacing mine soon.

Ich habe nach einer Taschenlampe gesucht, die schlank genug für die Hosentasche ist (EDC), aber mehr Power hat als die typischen kleinen Schlüsselbund-Lampen. Die ACEBEAM TAC 2AA hat meine Erwartungen komplett übertroffen. Es ist kaum zu glauben, wie viel Licht aus diesem schlanken Gehäuse kommt. Meine Highlights: Die Helligkeit (1400 Lumen): Wenn man den mitgelieferten Akku nutzt, ist die Lichtausbeute brachial. Der "High"-Modus leuchtet den ganzen Garten oder dunkle Waldwege problemlos aus. Für eine Lampe, die kaum dicker ist als ein Edding, ist das technisch beeindruckend. Geniales Akku-Konzept (Dual Fuel): Das war für mich der Hauptkaufgrund. Die Lampe kommt mit einem speziellen Lithium-Akku (der sogar einen eigenen USB-C Ladeanschluss hat – sehr praktisch, man braucht kein extra Ladegerät!). Aber im Notfall kann man einfach zwei normale AA-Batterien aus dem Supermarkt einlegen. Zwar hat sie dann weniger Leistung, aber man steht im Notfall niemals im Dunkeln. Das ist für Prepper oder auf Reisen Gold wert. Bedienung & Haptik: Der Heckschalter (Tailswitch) hat einen tollen Druckpunkt. Die Bedienung ist stressfrei: Man muss kein "Morse-Diplom" haben, um sie zu bedienen. Sie startet zuverlässig. Das Gehäuse ist extrem griffig (Knurling) und rutscht auch bei Nässe nicht aus der Hand. Design: Sie sieht sehr "taktisch" und wertig aus. Der Clip ist stabil und hält die Lampe sicher an der Hosentasche oder am Rucksack. Wichtiger Hinweis: Auf der höchsten Stufe wird der Kopf der Lampe bauartbedingt recht schnell warm. Das ist bei 1400 Lumen auf so kleinem Raum physikalisch normal und zeigt, dass die Wärmeableitung funktioniert. Mich stört es nicht, da ich den Turbo-Modus meist nur kurz nutze. Fazit: Wer eine robuste, extrem helle und flexible Lampe sucht, die man dank AA-Kompatibilität überall auf der Welt betreiben kann, kommt an der ACEBEAM TAC 2AA nicht vorbei. Qualität 1A.
