Works great, really cools, great prices.
We bought this air conditioner for our bedroom. It works really well for a 6000 BTU AC. It definitely gets cold in there in the hot summer days. Definitely a good purchase.

Wonderfully surprised!
Have to say, I wasn’t sure these would be enough to cool my whole place, but they’re doing so well! I purposefully waited a couple of months to make sure they held up a little, and this summer has just been a breeze thanks to this unit. So, my apartment is about 700sq ft and I ordered two of the 6,000 BTU units. One is in the bedroom and the other is in my office. The set up was simple enough and I did end up buying a separate piece of foam to cut out and add extra cushion above them both to really try and keep things sealed well. My apartment has maintained itself at around 75-76° in the warmer rooms if I set both units to 72°, which is absolutely pleasant for me. You could always set them a little lower to bring down the overall temperature if you’re cooling a whole floor like I am. I’ve also tried out just using the fan functions when it’s cooler out and I can open up the windows, and that’s also great. I don’t personally think these are overly noisy, but I suppose that’s going to depend on what you’re looking for. I can have the one in my office running just a couple of feet away from my computer while I’m in meetings and there’s no issue with the sound picking up on my end. The remotes make things convenient as well, and eco mode is nice from time to time if things aren’t blistering hot out. I had them both running basically non-stop in July and my total electric bill for the apartment was only $150, so I can’t complain at all about their efficiency, either. I’m really just super surprised in the best way. I’d definitely buy from this brand again.

It Works & It Cools !
Not Bad, It works ! Likes - Sleek design It works Dislikes - Confusing Modes (Different Models same modes) which appear in this model, but are not functional (*Dehumidifier ?) Noise - A little loud n change clunky (cooling temp reached, to fan or off) Constant temp tinkering - (to be comfy) Needs proper tilt angle - (to drain outdoors) Internal filter & Mech sys setup - (not bug proof) Window Expansion fins - (Clunky & not very flexible or fiting)

Great! Tiny, but still 6,000 BTU.
Great little window a/c for power emergency use with a generator (I live in Houston...). Looks nice inside and out. Tiny, but still 6,000 BTUs. Impressive. Sound on 'high' is as to be expected of a small unit. Cools to 62, just as advertised. My comments: 1. 'Eco' Mode button just turns it into a fan. I keep it on 'off'. 2. Installation instructions ignore the 3d type of window: metal embedded into stucco. My 2001-built 3-story townhouse has this type. The 'wood' clips worked for me. 3. Only 4 (not 7) screws in box, and the wrong kind anyway. I used self-drilling hex-head screws that obviate the need to drill pilot holes. Much faster to install. So easy too. 4. My window was only 21" wide; the official minimum is 23". Easy fix: I cut 2" off the right louvre panel plastic 'arms'. Perfect fit. I would buy this again.

Functional and easy to install
Came and was relatively easy to install in a NYC brownstone. We have a window ledge outside so the AC rests on that and we didn’t need to install a rack. The unit also comes with the accordion frame. So far doing a good job at cooling down our medium sized bedroom, remote controller also works. Not super quiet but we don’t mind and it fades into brown noise.

No an aggressive cooler. Designed for Economy.
This is not a simple or straight forward air conditioner. It is for narrow windows, but the filter slides out the side. The front panel is not easily removed to allow cleaning of the heat exchanger. It is designed for economy. It wants to operate in the "Auto" fan speed and "Eco" mode. We require continuous and aggressive cooling. The controls are hard to see, if you must look at it from any angle other than straight on. The control LEDs are not bright enough. Buy this unit only if you can afford to skimp on cooling in the interest of economical operation.

Great AC for the cost!! If you have a small apartment this is all you will need.
Awesome AC, I’m so pleased that this was the one I picked. I had bought a portable AC that was 8000 BTU thinking it would be better for cooling my apartment. It ended up being terrible and could barely cool down my room. So after returning that I decided to give this window unit a try. It cools down my entire 600 sqft apartment. I just have this unit in my bedroom I keep the door open and it keeps my whole apartment nice and cold. It’s over 90 here today, I just walked in through the front door and instantly felt a blast of cold air, and my room is on the other side of the apartment so it’s definitely keeping the whole place cooled down. That’s keeping it 67 on eco mode too. Best AC I’ve ever owned to be honest, very very happy with the purchase.

Disappointed
I was disappointed in this AC. The previous 6,000 BTU model (pictured) MAW06R1BWT worked sooo much better. This one doesn’t blow nearly as cold enough and is also louder. It doesn’t rattle so the noise is tolerable but overall the cooling quality is a bummer. I’ve had it down to 62 and my apartment is still fairly warm. The previous older AC unit (pictured) cooled my entire basement apartment. This one only cools the room it’s installed in and not even as well as I’d like. Water does NOT drain on either of these AC units on its own, even when properly installed, so you have to use the “gauze trick” which works fine if you don’t mind swapping out often (pictured) or void the warranty and drill a hole (which I finally gave up and did with the old one). But once I did that the old unit was great! I wanted a second one but it wasn’t avail so I got this one. The exterior of this newer unit also runs a lot hotter than normal and I was concerned of its longevity. Disappointing overall compared to the previous model, but if you buy at an inexpensive price point, it gets the job done for a small room.
