Perfect for sourdough, bakery-level results at home
Perfect for sourdough, bakery-level results at home I bought the Overmont Cast Iron Dutch Oven specifically for my wife's sourdough, and it’s been brilliant. The pot preheats evenly, holds heat like a champ, and the tight-fitting lid traps steam beautifully—hello glossy crust and gorgeous oven spring. My 700–900 g doughs fit comfortably, and the enamel makes clean-up simple (no rust worries). Build quality feels solid, the handles are easy to grip with mitts, and the interior enamel hasn’t stained after multiple bakes. It also doubles nicely for stews and roasts, but for bread it’s a star: consistent results, crackly crust, tender crumb—exactly what I was after. Pros; Excellent heat retention and steam for sourdough Enamel interior = easy cleanup, no seasoning needed 26 cm size ideal for most home loaves Sturdy handles and snug lid A couple of tips; Preheat the pot and lid for 30–45 minutes before loading Use parchment as a sling to place the dough safely Bake covered for the first 20–25 minutes, then uncover to brown If you want bakery-quality sourdough from your home oven, this Dutch oven is a fantastic buy.

Fab gift.
Really lovely item bought as gift. My daughter loved it and baked some bread in it ...she was so pleased with the result. Looks good and very reasonably priced.

Great pot!!
My favourite pot now! For the ones who are complaining about the weight: ja, well, it’s cast iron, isn’t it? I love it, I bake bread in it in the oven, I make stews and lots of other comfort food on the hob in it. Wouldn’t want to miss it anymore. It’s easy to use on low temperature, easy to clean and it looks always lovely on my hob even when not in use. I have had for quite a few months now and there is no wear and tear at all visible.

Beautiful and Versatile Pot
This pot is absolutely stunning. The colour is rich and dynamic, adding a touch of elegance to my kitchen. It’s quite heavy, which speaks to its quality, and the size is ideal for soups, stews, and even roasting meats or poultry. I love that it’s versatile enough to use on the hob or in the oven, and it transitions beautifully from oven to table, making the table look extra special. I was genuinely amazed at how affordable it was, especially as it rivals similar pots from premium brands. The included silicone trivet and handle grabbers are a thoughtful and useful addition. I highly recommend this pot—it’s both functional and stylish!

Stylish, great value, and perfect for bread baking
This cast iron crockpot is such a great find - stylish and a fraction of the price of the big-name brand! I’ve mainly used it for baking bread, and it does the job perfectly. It even comes with handy little accessories to help lift it out of the oven, which is a nice touch. Just a heads up - it’s quite heavy, and once it’s full, it can be a bit of a lift. But that’s to be expected with cast iron. Overall, I’m really impressed and would definitely recommend it, especially for bread bakers!

Great Quality
Great quality cast iron Dutch oven with a good weight to it. So versatile, already used it to bake bread and make casseroles. Looks good and way more expensive than it was and is easy to clean.

Looks good and works well
Lovely quality and looks great. Had guests around for dinner - made a big pot of ragu and it was lovely to be able to take it straight from oven to table. Time will tell on how long the coating will last but first impressions are good.

I’m really impressed with this Overmont cast iron Dutch oven. Mine has the classic red exterior with a cream enamel interior, and it’s both beautiful and very practical to cook with. The first thing I noticed was the quality and weight. It feels solid and well made, exactly what you expect from cast iron, but it’s still manageable to handle in the kitchen. Once it heats up, it holds heat extremely well and cooks very evenly. I’ve already used it for braised short ribs, and they came out incredibly tender. I’ve also made soups and slow-cooked dishes, and the heat distribution is excellent — no hot spots and everything cooks nicely. One thing I really appreciate is the light cream interior. It makes it easy to see when food is browning properly, and clean-up has been easier than I expected for a cast iron pot. It’s also a very versatile piece of cookware. You can use it for braising, soups, stews, sauces, and even bread baking, and it transitions nicely from stovetop to oven. If you’re looking for a well-made Dutch oven that performs beautifully for braising, soups, and slow cooking, this one is definitely worth considering. I’m so happy with it that I’m already thinking about adding one of Overmont’s wider braiser pans for dishes like osso buco. If anything changes with longer use, I’ll update my review.
