Water filter
It works fantastic. I added the fluoride filters. The water is clean and tastes great. Easy to put together. It would be nice if they sent better instructions on priming the filters. I watched a you tube video on priming the filters.

Fantastic gravity fed water filtration system that has the same specs as the brand leader does.
Fantastic gravity fed water filtration system that has the same specs as the brand leader does.... at least as far as I can tell, they seem to be almost identical, as far as volume and size and such, with of course this brand having the excellent option of having a glass container, which I really like and consider it a step above the popular stainless steel version. The danger of accidental breakage is always there but this can be mitigated greatly, by placing it in an area, and in a position, where it's not going to easily get bumped or pushed. The filters that come with this, would be my main concern, they aren't quite as comprehensive it seems, as the brand leader's filters... of course, they are at a fraction of the price, but I think there's a trade off to be had there. As I understand this with a quick look , the generic knock off type filters, so to speak, claim to be just as good, but in regards to testing this claim, the testing only goes so far, where the generic types can claim 2,000 bottles of water capacity per filter, for example, based on the testing done, whereas the brand leader, can claim 3,000 bottles capacity, because they've done more extensive testing..... something like that anyway.Either way, generic or brand leader, their every day filters on the market, do not filter out fluoride.. which is a big deal to me... so in other words, there's always two filters that are needed, at all times, if you want the fluoride removed. Fluoride is a toxin I understand, so yes I want that filtered out.At like double or triple the cost, the brand leader has some very expensive filters, but on a cot per day bases, based on how much water can be filtered, with each filter, the cost comes out to about 3 cents per day, and that's based on a 5- gallon usage rate per day... so long story short, I'm opting for the high dollar brand name filters, along with their fluoride filters, this way I'm certain of what I'm getting, with the the brand name filters being made in the USA.

Beautiful Water Filter That Makes Water That Taste Great
This is a VERY heavy all glass water filter system. The top is looks like it is made from bamboo and it has silicone vents to allow water in. Don't forget to open a vent while filtering! The entire system is gorgeous.Setup is a snap - just like other gravity water filters. Put the filters in and the tap on, being careful not to over tighten anything and you won't have any leaks. Let the gaskets do what they are designed to do. Fill it with water and throw out the first two or three passes. After that you're all set. Don't forget to put the rubber boot on, this thing is all glass and may be heavy but it moves around surprisingly easily on your countertop without the boot! The water that comes out tastes great. Definitely is a big difference. I'm not using my under sink system to fill water bottles because the water that comes out of this tastes better. An odd thing, when I measure dissolved solids, most systems REDUCE the amount of dissolved solids. This system ADDED a tiny amount (See Photos). I don't know what was added but the water tastes great.Final caveat - don't over fill it. The glass water reservoir merely sits on the filtered water tank. That means that the connection between the two is NOT water tight, just gravity on a glass to glass fit. If you overfill the reservoir you will wake up to a flooded countertop! It's not everyday that you run into such a mundane item like a water filter that has been turned into a work of art, but that is what this is. Reccomended.

It's like watching a show
Watching the water drip down as it leaves the filters is pretty cool and we have had quite the conversations over it. This has to sit in our living room, due to it not fitting on the kitchen countertops. That is okay, it is actually a talking point with visitors. It works! We have used a Berkey before and this seems to be just as impressive. Tastes and looks good.I wonder how long it will be before the water starts to etch the glass barrel, but I imagine it will stay clean for quite a while. I am not sure what filtered water does to glass, only stainless. With stainless, you have to wash out the barrel a few times a year. It will be easy to SEE when this one needs to be cleaned- the only caveat right now or is it?!I plan to use filters that are made in the USA once these have been used up. I will also add fluoride filters to these also. It will be just like my Berkey, only better.Recommended Highly.

Elegant and effective
I've owned a gravity fed water filter similar to this in the past that was made of stainless steel. However, I don't really like the subtle taste that stainless steel imparts to water that has been sitting in it for a while. This glass gravity filter system solves that issue. My first impression of this filter system is how cool it looks being able to see the filters inside. The borosilicate glass seems thick and strong and I don't doubt that the filter system will last a good while. After filling it, you can see the water being filtered through and running slowly into the bottom container. There's no guessing about whether the top container needs cleaning either. You can easily verify visually whether it's clean. The water tastes great and the filter is easy to use. I love it.
