At less than five dollars, this knife is a very very good deal. It opens smoothly, closes with enough difficulty that you don’t have to worry it’ll do it all on its own, and changes blades quickly. All utility knives are throwaways, whether by intent or not. They fall, get covered in rubble, get lent out to untrustworthy villainous co-workers, and so on. A five dollar knife that works as well as this one is a good knife to use, but buy two or three for throwaway reasons. Also, if you habitually keep the thing in your watch pocket, the belt clip removes (unscrew or grind) without compromising the integrity of the knife itself. Don’t forget blades, and don’t bother spending more than 12 cents or so per blade. The expensive blades are, almost without exception, a waste of your money. Titanium edges? Heavy Duty? Carbide? What the heck? Use generic cheap blades; they’re fine.

Very sturdy. I’ve used everyday for months and still working perfectly. Been through probably 50 blades.

Easy one-handed operation, snapper and lightweight, common size blades that swap out easily. Durable by today’s standards, my last one lasted 2.5 years while the husky one I had previously felt like it was going to break after only 3 months.
