but the worksheets weren't exactly useful for the age group I was working with
The book was really helpful, but not exactly what I was looking for. I was hoping to use it for group therapy, but the worksheets weren't exactly useful for the age group I was working with.

Great CBT Tool for Social Workers
I work with children/adolescents doing individual therapy. I have found this to be a wonderful tool. It is CBT oriented, but offers fun worksheets and activities to engage children in therapy and increase application. Great for new clinicians as well, as this book is very detailed and offers a good introduction to CBT in the beginning. I use this without the clinicians manual/version just fine. The only reason it isn't getting 5 stars is that some of the worksheets have cartoons geared towards younger kids, which makes it less appealing to a teen.

Therapist Review
Not one of my favorite books as I don't find it particularly user-friendly or inventive. Tends to sit on my bookshelf without me using it.

A big help for those who take CBT seriously
Great companion book to the CLINICIAN'S GUIDE TO THINK GOOD-FEEL GOOD: USING CBT WITH CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE. (Written in British English so some words are spelled a bit different, but easily understandable.)

Great Resource
This book is great for anyone involved with school aged children and wanting to help them work through their feelings as they develop. Parents, teachers and counsellors will love the content and the activities.

I found this book to be a fantastic resource and tool for my work with children and young people. The interface and worksheets are child friendly and children are interested in reading and completing the exercises. It's really easy to follow and read as a practitioner. A great tool for CBT work only with young people.

It is an amazing resource for professionals working with children. Not only does the book introduce the CBT strategies in a very simple way but it has great templates and forms that are very child friendly and can be easily used.

Enables those who do not study or are not rained in this area to access materials/strategies to work with children and teens in a general therapeutic way. For professionals this book helps to facilitate a therapeutic process as it was recommended to me by an education psychologist working with children and has been of great use to me in my own work with children [teaching]. Highly recommended.

This book help my 12 year old son, and our whole family to find solutions to current problems and do practice work to make everyone comfortable. It provided the whole family with the ability to help my son, and provided him with a different approach to help himself.

As a psychology student I was pleasantly surprised at the academic nature of the book, very informative easy to read section on CBT, more over endless resources to use with the children. The work sheets are easy to photo copy, and visually simple and pleasing. The children give it the thumbs up.
