Can be used with a hammer
Trapped these in by hand with a hammer when making some small (around A4) frames out of oak. Easy to use, and as a huge amount of strength to the frame.

Should be used in a machine buy I use a metal plate and a hammer, perfect for picture frames attaching two 45° angles together
